Spring has Sprung and we are open for business! 🌺🌷

Hurricane Helene devastated our area but we are stronger than the storm! 🌀

Asheville and Hendersonville are alive in new life, green with spring growth and beautiful flowering trees and flowers just waiting the return of our amazing tourists.

Despite what you have heard or not heard, we are open for you and your families to return and experience our beautiful area.

We have bookings available from now throughout the end of the year and have reduced prices to help bring back enjoyment to our cabin with a view. It is time to Relax and Renew while looking at the gorgeous mountains and soaking in the hot tub.

Fall is in full swing!

Updates: The main road has been scraped and is safely passable but has not been fully repaired. We are hoping to reopen the cabin the weekend of November 8! 🎉

We are looking forward to hosting our wonderful and caring guests again. I have missed all of you. Hope to see you very soon. ❤️

Update: The driveway has been repaired! Things are looking up and little by little we are getting there. 😊

So many of our wonderful guests have reached out to check on us and Windy Ridge. We are thankful for all of your thoughts and prayers. I am sorry for the slow responses as our phone service has been in and out and very slow. Windy Ridge is unharmed minus a small window leak. Power has been out until last night. We appreciate all of the workers who worked so hard to restore power to the cabin and surrounding community. It has been surreal to see how many of our locals and people from all around have come to the rescue of WNC and have helped with roads, rescue, power restoration, supplies, plus so much more. The damage around Chimney Rock and Lake Lure is unbelievable. I am saddened for all of the loss suffered in those areas and Asheville as well. Hug your families tight and reach out to those you don't get to talk to often.

Bald Rock Road is washed out near the entrance to our road leading to the cabin. We also have a washed area on our road. We are looking forward to having the roads repaired and to host again in the future. This vacation rental is near and dear to my heart. It is my Act 2 in life. (Act 1 was raising our precious family.) I am saddened to be unable to host my amazing guests and to interact with you all as you have a chance to relax and rewind in our beautiful cabin with a view. I will try to post updates for you from here on out. Thank you to everyone who has stayed in our home and have helped to make Windy Ridge so successful. ❤️

Be careful out there!

A life threatening event continues to unfold around WNC as another 6”+ of rainfall is projected. Couple that with wind gusts tomorrow morning of 60mph and you have a natural disaster. Please find a safe place to be by 6pm this evening and stay there until noon or so tomorrow! (Previous post deleted due to NWS graphic technical error)

This is one of my favorite times of the year! Local Apples, pumpkins, sunflowers, produce, etc are available now. Our vacation rental is located in the heart of Apple country and you will have your choice of places to purchase or pick your own apples, sunflowers, pumpkins, blackberries, pears and many other fall items. We are also blessed to have a huge assortment of treats available in our area. Pies, doughnuts, cider and more!! We still have some weekday dates available for September with some price reductions if you would like to explore fall in Hendersonville NC.

This little guy showed up today while I was cleaning Windy Ridge. He was looking right at me through the window while chomping on my hosta blooms.
We also have some beautiful blooming trees and had another amazing guest! I love hosting my guests and look forward to the rest of the year. 😊
