For the first time in 20 years, a new theme park has opened in Orlando!

I am still so pumped from my visit and experience at the Grand Opening of EPIC Universe, an event I was honored to attend as the owner of Main Street Travel LLC. Universal Destinations rolled out the BLUE carpet, and let me tell you this park is absolutely next-level!

First off, I have to talk about my absolute favorite part: the Dark Universe. I’ve always had a soft spot for classic monsters, and here, they come to life in such a thrilling way. The new ride, Monsters Unchained, blew me away! It felt like I was diving into a horror movie, racing through incredible scenes with Frankenstein, Igor, Dracula and even the Creature from the Black Lagoon lurking around every corner. The attention to detail and storytelling is just incredible; and coming from someone who deals with serious motion sickness, I LOVED every spine-tingling moment of this ride!

Of course, I was also super excited to check out the Nintendo area. Being a Gen Xer, I grew up playing these games, and Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge was an absolute blast! It’s designed to make you feel like you’re part of the game, zooming through vibrant tracks and battling for the top spot. But I really enjoyed playing games with my new Power Up Band! If you don't like rides, or if you even don't like Nintendo at all, playing around in over 70 games to play in and around this area.

But here’s the best part: EPIC Universe is perfect for families too! I noticed so many KID FRIENDLY rides and experiences, which I feel honestly lacks at Universal Orlando but NOT ANYMORE!! There are plenty of attractions designed just for little ones, completely tailored to spark their imaginations and create lasting memories. Interactive play zones and fun character meet-and-greets were everywhere, reminding me just how special these experiences can be for families.

As someone who runs a travel company, seeing this park come alive reminded me of why I’m so passionate about creating memorable trips for my clients. I can't wait to book our next trips to EPIC Universe! If you’re looking for a vacation that combines thrill, nostalgia, and family fun, this is it.
