People always ask how often we do Disney… and honestly, that’s a loaded question.
We used to have a Christmas tradition (pre-Covid), and now it’s turned into a yearly spring trip.
Yes, Debby Harwell — there are other destinations in the world. 😉
But we know what we love. And for our family, Disney is actually relaxing. It’s familiar. It’s easy. It’s ours.
Every year when I start planning our trip, I go back and forth. (Ask Mallory Stewart or Josh — it drives them crazy.)
Do we head back to Walt Disney World Resort —
with the rides they’re finally tall enough for and the traditions we’ve built?
Or do we sail with Disney Cruise Line —
where the pace softens, the ocean stretches wide, and I watch my boys grow a little braver… with unlimited Mickey bars in hand (because feeding five growing boys is basically a full-time job).
It feels like picking a favorite child.
They’re just different kinds of magic for different reasons and seasons.
And lately, I’ve been loving the idea that maybe it doesn’t have to be either/or.
Disney released a “Keep the Magic Going” promotion that allows some families to roll their park stay right into a cruise while saving— It’s just a sweet little chance to let one chapter turn into the next.
If you’ve ever struggled to choose like I do, let’s talk before the promotion window closes. Email me at [email protected]
