We Love Hickory, NC

10/07/2026

There’s something special about walking through downtown and seeing the doors opening, the lights coming on, and another day beginning in our community. ❤️

Behind every storefront is a story. A dream. Someone who took a chance, put in the work, and chose Hickory as the place to build something.

And every time we shop local, eat local, recommend a favorite business, or simply tell someone about a place we love, we’re helping those stories continue.

So today’s challenge is simple: notice your community.

Walk through a shop you’ve never visited. Say hello. Grab a cup of coffee. Tell a friend about a local business you love.

Because Hickory isn’t just a place on the map.

It’s home—and we make it better when we support each other. ❤️

🍂✨ Fall nights just hit differently in Downtown Hickory.

The lights are glowing, the air is getting cooler, and downtown has that cozy fall feeling that makes you want to slow down and enjoy it for a little while.

Sometimes the best parts of our community aren’t the big events or special occasions. They’re the simple moments—a nighttime walk, beautiful lights, familiar streets, and appreciating the place we get to call home. ❤️

This is Hickory in the fall, and we love it.

Behind the scenes in real estate, there is a lot more than opening doors.

We study market trends.
We visit neighborhoods.
We watch pricing, inventory, and buyer activity.

Because when we sit down with clients, we want to bring more than opinions.

We want to bring insight, strategy, and real local knowledge.

That is what helps our clients make confident decisions.

People ask me this all the time.

Why Hickory?

And honestly… it’s more than affordable housing.

It’s the lifestyle.
The pace.
The community.
The lakes.
The local businesses.
The feeling people get when they’re here.

I see it every week with relocation clients.

People come to visit…
and suddenly they start imagining life here.

That says a lot about a place.

📊 Catawba Valley Market Update – March 2026

The latest numbers are in, and we’re seeing a shift toward a more balanced market.

✔️ More homes hitting the market
✔️ Strong buyer activity (pending sales up!)
✔️ Prices continuing to rise
✔️ Homes taking longer to sell

We’re no longer in the ultra-fast market of the past few years—strategy, pricing, and marketing matter more than ever.

If you’re considering buying or selling, I’d love to walk you through what these numbers mean for YOU.

There’s something powerful about a community coming together over one story.

Today I picked up The Correspondent by Virginia Evans from Patrick Beaver Memorial Library and spent some time reading along the Riverwalk… and it just felt like Hickory.

Simple. Peaceful. Connected.
