It’s official — The Barn renovation is complete✨

What started as a harebrained scheme (and a whole lot of dust) is now a completed HOME! We poured our hearts (and sweat, and blood, and some tears) into every beam, board, and detail, and seeing it finished feels pretty surreal.

And now for the secret we’ve been barely holding in…

The Barn at High Falls is officially complete!!!! We did it!! We’re still pinching ourselves. From the first moment we stepped inside, this place has come a LONG way—and we’re beyond proud of every single detail baked into The Barn.

But here’s the thing… we’re not telling you everything just yet. 🤫

There’s still a secret tucked away up here in High Falls, and we can’t wait to share it soon.

✨ Barn Update Time! ✨

We’re officially ONE WEEK AWAY from wrapping up Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride of our restoration, and The Barn is looking like a TRUE queen 💃🛠️

This week’s all about the finishing touches — the kind that make you stop and say, “Ohhh, that’s cute.” Or “Wow I truly never would have thought of that, but I can’t imagine anything better.” We can’t wait for you to experience it!

From cozy corners to decor that pays homage to all The Barn was before we came into its life, it’s giving country charm with a big helping of sparkle. 🌾✨

We can almost hear the “after” photos calling our name… stay tuned, friends — the final reveal is coming in hot! 🔥 We can’t wait to let you in on all the secrets we’ve been keeping. I’m sure you know DeLessios are notoriously good secret keepers — no blabbermouths here, basically spies.

✨ Patio Progress! ✨
The back patio is 90% complete and there is SO MUCH MORE ROOM FOR ACTIVITIES! As Dr. Frank-N-Furter said, ‘Don’t dream it, be it’. 💭🌙 And this patio is more than we could have ever dreamed it to be!

And while the patio is a star 🌟 in its own right, we’ve got even more plan(t)s sprouting—think lush landscaping, pops of greenery, and yes… shrubberies! (Truly, we are bringing all the shrubberies! 🪴). You know we’ve been working to make the Barn not just amazing inside, but jaw dropping outside too.

Keep your ear to the ground (or, The Barn social media, rather) as we share surprises during this last month (That’s right! We’re in the last month! 🫢)

A Blast from the Past: Fire, Maps, and Barn Tales 🔥🗺️

As we dig into the history of our barn restoration, we keep uncovering stories that are as wild as the project itself! Our latest find? An old map from 1875 that shows exactly where our barn once stood in the middle of a thriving farm—right before a fire nearly wiped it all out. 😱

Yep, you heard that right! According to local legends (and some official records), a fire hit the Barn back in 1897, threatening to destroy the barn and everything around it. We can only imagine the chaos and the brave folks who fought to save what they could. The Doings at High Falls describes the damage the fire caused, and while some parts of the barn were lost, the foundation and spirit of the place were rebuilt, brick by brick. 🔨🔥

Restoring this barn is about more than just fixing up old wood—it’s about breathing new life into a place that has seen both beauty and adversity. Each board we preserve, every nail we hammer, is a little tribute to the people who kept this barn standing. And hey, we think they’d be pretty proud of how it’s coming along!
