Why did I choose Avalon as the brand to partner with for my group opportunity to experience the Christmas Markets in Europe in 2028?

Top Producers Retreat — Day 3 & The Finale

Day three was all about Discovery Cove, and if you’ve been following along, you already know just how special that day was for me. From getting to experience Discovery Cove for the first time to swimming with dolphins, it was one of those days that I know I’ll be talking about for a long time.

And then came our final evening of the retreat.

We were originally supposed to spend the evening at Hollywood Studios, including seeing Fantasmic!, but if there’s one thing you learn pretty quickly when traveling to Florida in September, it’s that rain is always a possibility. September is right in the middle of hurricane season, and afternoon and evening storms are just part of the deal.

So our plans pivoted.

We had a delicious dinner at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort in their convention center, which was honestly stunning. We were treated to double-dipped Mickey Bars (which were every bit as fantastic as they sound), and then we hopped on a boat headed toward Hollywood Studios.

Unfortunately, the rain had other plans and Fantasmic! was ultimately canceled.

And while it’s always disappointing when something you’re looking forward to doesn’t happen, this is also just…travel. Things happen. Weather changes. Plans have to pivot. And sometimes you just make the most of what you have.

Lyndsay, Tara, and I eventually hopped on the Skyliner and decided to go explore Disney’s Riviera Resort before heading back to the room to pack and get ready for our early flights the next morning.

And honestly, this weekend was the perfect reminder of one of the things I love most about Disney:

There is ALWAYS something new to experience.

I’ve been to Disney a lot, and I still find myself doing something I’ve never done before, discovering a new restaurant, exploring a new resort, riding a new attraction, or experiencing something in a completely different way.

I left Top Producers Retreat feeling so incredibly grateful.

Grateful for the friendships.
Grateful for the experiences.
Grateful for the opportunity to continue learning and growing in this industry.
And especially grateful to our agency owners for the time, effort, and intentionality they pour into this retreat every single year.

This retreat is something that, for me, is a non-negotiable goal to earn each year in my business. And that makes it even more meaningful when I get to be there.

They work so hard to make every retreat feel special, different, and memorable — and somehow they continue to surprise us every year.

I came home feeling rejuvenated, appreciated, inspired, and incredibly grateful that I get to call being a travel advisor my job.

Top Producers Retreat — Day 2

Friday was the day Top Producers Retreat officially kicked off, but since our actual event didn’t begin until that evening, I had a pretty full day planned.

I started the day with lunch as a Platinum/Diamond Travel Advisor with my agency, where I got to spend some time with Josh and James from Disney Corporate. We talked about all kinds of things happening in the travel industry — current travel trends, challenges we’re seeing, things we’d love to see more of, and what the future of travel looks like.

It was a delicious lunch at Ale and Compass, but honestly, some of my favorite parts of being a travel advisor are the conversations like these. Getting to sit down with the people behind the destinations we sell every day and have real conversations about our industry is such a valuable experience.

And then I basically hopped on a bus as quickly as I possibly could because I had somewhere very important to be…

Magic Kingdom with my sister and niece.

A while back, my sister, brother-in-law, and niece moved to Florida, and having family you love live so far away is hard. So I absolutely treasure the times when I get to spend time with them — especially when that time happens to be at my most favorite place in the world.

And despite the fact that THEY live in Florida now, I’m still the Disney pro. 😉 So I had a lot of fun showing them around Magic Kingdom and embracing all of their interests for the afternoon.

Then it was time to head to the official kickoff of Top Producers Retreat!

One of my favorite things about this weekend was that our evening activities were completely secret. We were given instructions on where and when to meet, but had absolutely no idea what we were doing.

So at 6:45 PM, I showed up at the Epcot entrance and just followed along.

We were walked over to the China Pavilion, where we were treated to a beautiful dinner inside the pavilion — complete with a meet and greet with Mulan.

We were originally supposed to have a dessert party on a terrace overlooking Epcot, but with rain in the forecast, plans had to change. Thankfully, Disney magic has a way of working itself out, and we ended up having our dessert party indoors before heading to a private viewing area for the nighttime fireworks show, Luminous.

At this point, we all thought the night was over.

But our agency owners had one more surprise up their sleeves.

Even though the park was technically closed, we were walked straight over to Guardians of the Galaxy, put into the fast-track line, and got to ride it together as an agency.

And let me tell you…

There is something pretty special about riding one of your favorite Disney attractions with 70 of your fellow travel advisors.

The energy. The screaming. The laughing. The pure excitement.

It was the perfect way to officially kick off Top Producers Retreat!

Top Producers Retreat Recap— Day 1 ✨

I flew into Orlando super late Wednesday night so I could spend the day at home taking care of Donnie while he recovered from surgery. And while I was definitely ready for some sleep, I was also so excited to get to Orlando and kick off Top Producers Retreat!

I checked into Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, which is truly one of my favorite resorts on property. It’s such a great price point for families, but you still get so many amazing amenities. And honestly, the whole resort just makes you feel like you’ve been transported to the Caribbean.

From the Caribbean music playing throughout the resort to the beautiful landscaping, pools, playgrounds, and all the little details, there is just such a fun, relaxing vibe. It’s one of those resorts I can recommend over and over again and still love staying at myself.

Thursday morning, we woke up and headed to Epic Universe!

The park hasn’t been open very long, and I’ve only visited one other time, so I was excited to explore it again. A lot of people have a strategy of heading straight to Super Mario Land when they arrive, but I’m going to let you in on mine: I always head straight to Dark Universe.

And if you know me, you know that Monsters Unchained is one of my absolute FAVORITE rides at Universal. Seriously. I could ride it over and over again.

We were gifted our day at Epic Universe, along with Express Passes, which was such an amazing treat. If you aren’t familiar with Express Pass, it allows you to skip the regular standby line one time at each participating attraction. And let me tell you…in the Florida heat, minimizing your time standing in a line can be a GAME CHANGER. It can make the difference between having an amazing park day and being completely miserable by 3 PM. 😂

We were able to ride everything we wanted, including Ministry of Magic, see both shows, eat at two of my favorite restaurants, and of course…have a Butterbeer. Which absolutely hit the spot on such a hot day.

And one of my favorite things about theme parks is that no matter how many times you visit, there is always something new.

Something you didn’t notice before.
Something you didn’t know.
Something you experience differently.

This trip was especially fun because I got to spend the day with some of my dearest friends in the travel agency. We weren’t there working. We were just there playing, laughing, riding rides, eating way too much food, and enjoying the park together.

And honestly, that made the day even more special.

Epic Universe really is such a fantastic destination for families because there is something for so many different ages and interests. And every time I visit, I leave with a few more things I want to share with my clients.

It has taken a VILLAGE to make this trip happen.

5 different friends bringing dinners and a breakfast while I’m gone.

3 friends and 1 Nana to cover childcare.

1 puppy sitter.

I’ve never felt more loved and supported than I do in this season. I almost cancelled this trip multiple times when Donny had to have unexpected surgery on his Achilles. The last two weeks have been really tough as we have had to adjust to him being non weight bearing, going in for his first surgery, and becoming care giver/nurse in his recovery. I’m so glad his recovery has had minimal/no pain.

My village came together to make sure I didn’t cancel…this trip is something I work hard for every year. It is earned. Invite only. Filled with spoiling and fun plus perks that are because of the accomplishments I achieved in 2025.

Donny and the kids are in great hands and I am OFFICIALLY headed to Orlando for Share The Magic Travel Top Producers Retreat! Bonus: I get to see my sister and niece while I’m in town 😭😭

Thank you isn’t sufficient, but man am I grateful for every helping hand this week.

Florida here I come!

Friends, I’ve been so quiet on social media lately!

I wish I had a spare second here and there to share all of the amazing trips I’ve been booking and the incredible places my clients are traveling. But when I have five seconds to work, I put my head down, grab my laptop, and knock out as many things on my to-do list as humanly possible.

This month has been FULL of custom itineraries and unique experiences. I’ve booked everything from croissant-baking classes in Paris and a hotel stay near the Eiffel Tower to a Mediterranean dream vacation with private excursions planned at every stop for the most stress-free way to experience Europe.

I’ve helped plan a West Coast road trip beginning in Seattle and ending in San Francisco, and I’m currently planning a last-minute Italy vacation that will take my clients through Rome, Florence, and Venice.

I’ve also been working on my group trip for next March and helping my clients plan their pre- and post-river cruise stays. We’re even scheduling a canal cruise as a group, and I am SO excited about that!

And that’s not all…

Clients have been traveling on Alaska land-and-sea tours, exploring Denali and Glacier Bay National Park.

Clients have been in Bar Harbor, Maine, taking in the beauty of Acadia National Park and enjoying incredible restaurants within walking distance of their hotel.

And, of course, I’ve had plenty of Disney clients heading off to enjoy Halloween festivities at the most magical place on Earth!

I’m so incredibly thankful for each and every trip and every family who trusts me to help plan their vacations.

I’m doing my best to juggle it all while getting ready to start another homeschool year and preparing for preschool, where I’ll be teaching one day a week starting next week.

God has blessed me with so many incredible people in my life, and I’m so thankful that I get to do work that I love, work from home, and still experience life alongside my kids.

So, if you’ve been wondering where I’ve been…

I’ve been busy. And I couldn’t be more thankful.

One of the biggest travel trends I've seen this year—and one that has honestly surprised me—is the combination of last-minute travel and the growing demand for Alaska.

I can't tell you how many Alaska trips I've planned that depart within three months...sometimes even less! So many people know they want to go, but they don't realize just how many moving pieces there are to planning the perfect Alaska vacation.

Not every cruise itinerary is the same. Not every cruise line visits the best glacier viewing areas. The excursions you choose can completely shape your experience.

Over the years, I've built a list of trusted excursions and tour operators that my clients have absolutely loved—from riding the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad to whale watching, glacier seaplane tours, and even dog sledding on a glacier.

This is where having a travel advisor who truly knows the destination makes all the difference.

Alaska has become one of my favorite vacations to plan, and I can honestly say I've never had a client return disappointed. I'm very selective about the cruise lines I recommend, the itineraries I book, and the excursions I suggest because I want every client to experience the very best Alaska has to offer.

If Alaska is on your bucket list, there are still a few sailings left this season. However, if your schedule is flexible, I'd encourage you to start planning for **2027 now**. Booking early gives you the best selection of cabins, the best pricing, and first choice of those incredible excursions that often sell out months in advance.

In October, my family will be staying at a deluxe resort that has been on my Disney bucket list ever since I toured it over a year ago! Disney's Yacht Club Resort is a vacation dream, and we cannot wait to spend seven days just steps from EPCOT while enjoying what many consider the best pool complex on Disney property (largest water slide, lazy river, and a pool with sand bottom)!

One of the biggest perks of staying at a deluxe resort is access to Extended Evening Hours. During our trip, we'll get to take advantage of this twice! Historically, these are offered on Mondays and Wednesdays, allowing deluxe resort guests to stay in select parks for two extra hours after they close. It's often EPCOT on Mondays and one of the other parks on Wednesdays!

My husband is obsessed with the Disney Skyliner, and while Yacht Club doesn't have its own Skyliner station, it's just a short walk over to Disney's BoardWalk or EPCOT's International Gateway, where you can hop on and ride to Disney's Hollywood Studios. EPCOT is so close that you can actually walk there in just a few minutes!

The BoardWalk area connected to the resort is such a special place to spend time when we're not in the parks. There's always something going on—from lawn games and entertainment to delicious quick-service dining and beautiful views of the boats on Crescent Lake. We've intentionally built more rest days into this trip than ever before, and I know we'll spend plenty of time soaking it all in.

The kids are probably most excited about one thing: you can watch the EPCOT fireworks while swimming at Stormalong Bay! They cannot believe they'll get to go night swimming while watching the fireworks from the pool. Are they spoiled or what?!

Disney always brings out a more relaxed, playful side of Donny and me as parents, and I can't wait to make more memories in our favorite place with my favorite people. ❤️
