Summer is just around the corner, and guests at get to use our stand up paddle boards, canoe, peddle boat, and kids kayak to get out on the water. Bulldog Lake is great for fishing, and because it’s not very big you don’t see a lot of boat traffic. Usually just 1-2 fishing boats or a pontoon.

And when you’re not out on the lake, the big open field is great for kickball or other field games 😎

Spotlight on our favorite addition of 2024 👀 the new sauna, laundry, and shower area we added to our lower level 🥳

Guests can now enjoy a hot sauna (especially nice during winter stays) and with the walk out basement you can head outside for some cold therapy in between sauna sessions ❄️

Wishing for another snowy winter at ❄️

We have tons of outdoor space for building snowmen, snowshoeing, and ice fishing on the lake 🎣

And for the *indoor people* there’s our creative studio for art projects, puzzles, or board games, a movie room, plenty of space for reading and relaxing, plus our indoor sauna and game room with pool and foosball. And the field house with indoor pickle ball or gym games for the kids 🏓

Have you tried stand up paddle boards before? We have six available for our guests to use when they stay at 😎 and our lake is perfect for it. Not a lot of boat traffic, so you can feel safe even out in the middle of the lake. 🏄‍♂️🌊

When you can sleep up to 26 adults, you need a kitchen and dining room that’s comfortable for big groups!

Two refrigerators, an extra wide stove, and seating for 22 (extra overflow seating on the back porch or the creative studio, depending on the season 😉)

When you stay at Hillman House MN you get private access to this bonus space that we call The Field House— a separate building with an indoor pickle ball court, bar area, and sound system with WiFi and Bluetooth connection to stream your favorite music (🎤 karaoke, anyone?)

We’ve also got dodgeballs and floor hockey equipment, so if pickle ball isn’t your thing you can just move the net to the side 😉
