Dozza is a charming medieval village just a few kilometers from Bologna, famous for its “Biennale del Muro Dipinto” (“Painted Wall Biennale”), which has transformed the entire town into an open-air art gallery over the decades.
Every two years, Italian and international artists are invited to paint permanent murals on the facades of buildings, often inspired by local history, traditions, and landscapes. Today, Dozza boasts over 100 murals, ranging from abstract to figurative.
