Notre Dame—Wow! A classic symbol of Paris and just amazing. A valuable lesson learned though—but assigned time tix in advance! Ugh! The line and crowds—😳. And that large lit circle? That is where they put the Crown of Thornes on Friday afternoons for a few hours. Mind Blown! And a bit of cool history—it was originally brought to Paris housed in the Saint Chappelle which we had just gone from seeing.

Well….we tried to get in the Louvre but sold out for next two days. This is all we could get. Check out the video. This place is blocks long on both side. ENORMOUS! Yesterday we took a bus tour to Fontainebleau, one of the many palaces used by royalty for 800 yrs. Napoleon set up his residence here from the time of his coronation in 1804 to the time he was exiled in 1813.

Ok, this was one of the best activities we have done all week. Mont Saint-Michel in the Normandy region of France. An Abby for Monks that has been standing for 1300 years. The only thing that would have made it better was if the tide would have been in. When the tide is in, the entire island is surrounded by water. When tide is out, you can walk
to it from the mainland.

And yes, we rode in a bus 4.5 hours EACH WAY to see it. Another place that pictures do not do it justice. Check out the video at the end of the Crypt of the Great Pillars that hold up the floor of the choir/ alter of the church above it. My favorite room!

Best activities of the trip:
1. Celine Dion (of course! 😊)
2. Bruges, Belgium
3. Mont Saint Michel
