🚨 At Hogansville Police Department, we truly care about the safety and well-being of every child in our community — because your children matter to us! As your School Resource Officer, I see firsthand how important it is for every student to be safe, especially during pick-up time.

Lately, I’ve noticed many children getting into vehicles in the car rider line without the proper booster or child safety seats. This is a concern because the right car seat or booster is crucial to protecting children in the event of a sudden stop or accident.

Here’s a quick reminder about Georgia’s Child Passenger Safety Laws:
According to O.C.G.A. 40-8-76, all children under the age of eight must be properly secured in an appropriate child passenger safety seat or booster seat. This law helps keep our kids as safe as possible while on the road.

We want to keep every child safe—not just at school, but everywhere. Please make sure your child is riding in the correct seat for their age, height, and weight. It makes a big difference.
