đ Hey there, friends! Weâve noticed lots of new faces around here lately, so we thought this would be the perfect time to re-introduce ourselves. Weâre the Cornelius familyâCaptain Scott, Ashley, and our two kidsâproud owners and operators of Tomoka Outpost, tucked inside beautiful Tomoka State Park.
Scott grew up right here in Ormond Beachâless than a mile from the parkâand has dreamed of this place since he was a kid. Ashley made Ormond home back in 2005 after moving from California. Funny enough, we first met on a cruise in 2003 (yep, Carnival Glory!) and have been on this adventure together ever since.
Owning and running the Outpost isnât something we stumbled intoâitâs truly a dream come true. Scott spent his childhood boating past this building, imagining what it could become one day. Now, we get to live that dream every single dayâwithout any lottery winnings, just lots of heart and hard work.
Our kids are growing up right alongside the Outpostâyouâll often see them hanging around, âhelpingâ in their own ways, or just enjoying the park life. Theyâre a big part of what makes this adventure so special for us.
