Based on the most recent and reliable weather updates and reports, here is the plan for our tours tonight. I'll also be emailing this to all of our guests booked on a tour tonight.

It looks like a line of thunderstorms will hit the Mississippi River around 8 PM, and then reach Holly Springs between 9 and 10 PM. While this may end up being a fairly mild storm, the biggest dangers will be from straight line winds. We absolutely do not want to be stuck in the middle of Hill Crest Cemetery when these storms hit, as there would be a significant danger from falling branches and entire trees coming down (sadly the reality for our beautiful cemetery every time a storm comes through). The safety of our guests comes before everything else, and we also want everyone to make it home safely.

Here's what we will be doing tonight. The 7 PM "City of the Dead" tour will go on as scheduled, with some spooky additions! We will be canceling the 8 PM "City of the Dead" tour and the 10 PM "Yellow Fever Fields" tour. Guests booked on our 8 PM tour are welcome to join us on the 7 PM tour, or refunds will be issued. Guests booked on our 10 PM tour are welcome to join us at 7 PM as well, with partial refunds.

We are bummed that we won't be able to do our live ghost investigation on the "Yellow Fever Fields" tour. Atmospheric disturbances have been known to increase the chances of paranormal activity, and we don't want to miss it, so we will be bringing our equipment to the 7 PM tour and setting up after the tour at a few "hotspots", including the Yellow Fever field. Any guest booked on one of tonight's tours is welcome to join, and we'll end it before things get bad.

We apologize to everyone who were looking forward to tonight's tours, but we will try to make the best of it! Hope to see you at 7 PM!

Our next “Murder and Plague” ghost walking tour is tonight at 9 PM! Come hear the horrifying and 100% true stories of mass murderer Robert Doxey, the Stewart Sisters of the Elk Lodge who never really got over their bout of Yellow Fever, the horrors that lurk behind haunted McCarroll Place, the spooky mannequins of the Martyr’s Museum
and more!

Tomorrow night we have three cemetery tours planned, and we are still watching weather reports to determine how best to proceed with those. For those of you on those tours, we will be sending out an email late tonight with further instructions.

This weekend we have another "Murder and Plague" walking tour this Friday, October 17th, at 9 PM, and several cemetery tours Saturday, October 18th.

We are closely monitoring the weather for Saturday. While we don't usually cancel tours due to weather, we also won't be wandering around a dark cemetery with heavy winds, thunder and lightning! We will try to make a decision by Friday evening on whether the "City of the Dead" and "Yellow Fever Fields" tours Saturday evening will be canceled, and if they are, we will issue full refunds.

Thank you and hopefully stays safe!

You are cordially invited to the spookiest ghost tours in North Mississippi! Haunted Holly Springs returns for our always-popular ghost walking tours of Holly Springs, Mississippi! We have been offering our ghost tours for over a decade, and we can't wait to scare the daylights out of you with this year's tours!

Our "The Hill Country Hauntings" Tour is our flagship ghost walking tour, visiting many of the most haunted locations in Holly Springs! This tour is the perfect introduction to the world of the paranormal, and includes a primer on ghosts and ghost-hunting and a special "Ghost-Hunting 101" short movie in our creepy Yellow Fever Martyrs Museum. From the ghouls of Spring Hollow to the infamous "Ghost Clown of Randolph Street", this tour is sure to scare the unliving daylights out of you!

The "Murder and Plague" tour goes beyond our famous ghosts and ghouls and digs deep into the dark recesses of our creepy town, uncovering the hidden underbelly of Holly Springs. We will visit the sites of gruesome murders, suicides and executions, hear the horrifying and tragic tale of the Yellow Fever Epidemic of 1878 and encounter Holly Springs' own forgotten mass murderer! At the Yellow Fever Martyrs Museum we will watch our short film "Mysteries of the Martyrs Museum" and learn about the secret history of one of the oldest and spookiest buildings in North Mississippi!

The "City of the Dead" tour is our popular and spooky walking tour of Hill Crest Cemetery. Come wander the solemn burial grounds that contain the mortal remains of some of Holly Springs' most famous (and infamous) characters. From Yellow Fever victims to the graves of Holly Springs' most famous ghosts, our tour will end at the famous and creepy sarcophagus of Mittie Manning, the girl who wouldn't be buried!

Returning again for 2025 is our very popular "Yellow Fever Fields" tour of Hill Crest Cemetery. Starting at the gates of Hill Crest Cemetery, we will explore the history, legends and ghosts of the Yellow Fever Epidemic and slowly descend into the depths of the cemetery, finally reaching the “Yellow Fever Fields”, the resting place of hundreds of unmarked Yellow Fever victims and a local hotspot for paranormal activity! We will be joined by local paranormal experts who will show us the "tools of the trade" and try to open a window to the unquiet dead! This one night only, one tour only event will sell out VERY quickly, so don’t hesitate to get your ticket! Due to the sensitive nature of this tour, young children will not be allowed on this tour.

For the first time in eleven years, Halloween falls on a Friday, and we are celebrating this rare spooky occurrence with two new tours on All Hallow's Eve! Our "Haunted Holly Springs Halloween Tour" will be a special "mash up" of many of our most famous and spooky ghost stories and haunted locations, including the infamous "Ghost Clown of Randolph Street", the murderous Robert Doxey, the horrors that haunt the Marshall County Courthouse and the always creepy Yellow Fever Martyrs Museum! We know this will be prime "Trick 'r Treating" time, so we will be handing out candy at all of our stops, and offering prizes for the best costumes! Bring the whole family and remember that children 12 and under are always free!

Finally, you are invited to a rare Halloween Night visit to one of most famous antebellum mansions in Holly Springs! Our "All Hallows at Montrose Manor" will welcome you to Montrose, the 170-year-old home that has witnessed some of the darkest days and nights in this town's history. After arriving at Montrose, our guests will hear horrifying stories of the ghosts and ghouls that haunt the famous "Silk Stocking Row" of Salem Avenue and Montrose herself. After a guided tour of the mansion by the Holly Springs Garden Club, we'll be joined by paranormal experts for a live ghost hunt! You'll see the tools paranormal investigators use to find and communicate with ghosts, and the very bravest volunteers will get to participate in the investigation and hopefully hear from the ghosts themselves! This is sure to be a spooky, unforgettable night! This one night only, one tour only event will sell out VERY quickly, so don’t hesitate to get your tickets!

We are very excited to be joined by our friends at Memphis Ghost Hunters, led by local paranormal expert Jack Brewer, at both our "Yellow Fever Fields" and "All Hallows Eve at Montrose Manor" tours! Please visit their website at memphisghosthunter.com to learn more about their other tours and events!

As always, though our tours can be a bit too scary for very young children, children 12 and under are free on all of our classic ghost walking tours! Children are not allowed on our "Yellow Fever Fields" and "All Hallows Eve at Montrose Manor" tours, due to the sensitive nature of those tours.

Remember that our tours get booked up quickly, so don’t wait until October to order your tour tickets. Also remember that our tours operate, rain or shine, and no refunds will be given due to inclement weather.

Mr. Diller wanted me to tell everyone that came on last night’s Halloween Lantern Tour of Hill Crest Cemetery that he enjoyed meeting all of you, and thanks you all for coming! He is now at rest back in his grave, but he had a wonderfully spooky All Hallows Eve!

Just like on a previous cemetery tour this season, we experienced a significant 10-15 degree temperature drop at the Yellow Fever Fields! Hard to explain, but so is everything else that is happened down there! We also got some possible orb activity on Robert Doxey’s grave (see picture).
