Today on Seminole Spaces: we're heading to the Miami River! 🌊 Explore how this vital waterway shaped Seminole travel and tourism.

Here, you can see a postcard showing the front entrance to Musa Isle Indian Village. Opened in 1907, Musa Isle was an incredibly popular tourist attraction on the Miami River. It would close in the 1960s, but not before cementing itself as an important place in Seminole tourism history. (2023.20.1, ATTK Museum)

This Friday, dive into the next chapter of our Seminole Spaces series! 🌊 We're exploring the rich history of the Miami River and its lasting importance to Seminole travel, tourism, and identity. From a vital waterway for movement to a hub of early tourist camps, the river tells a powerful story of resilience and innovation. Join us to learn how these currents still shape the Seminole experience today!
