My handbag was stolen last week. I lost my phone and my credit cards, easy things to replace. But I lost all my pictures. This made me reflect on my travels over the last year.

I am so lucky and grateful to have experienced different cultures, to have volunteered with children, to have given back to communities, and to have stepped out of comfort zones. I may have lost my pictures from Central America, my favorite video of a baby rhino, and the lemur pics from Madagascar, but I will always carry with me how each place I experienced changed me. Every time I travel, I return as a new version of me.
