Did you know? Early Jackson County farmers relied heavily on corn, wheat, and livestock.

Planting season was truly a community effort before modern machinery. Neighbors helped neighbors, and equipment was shared. Meals were delivered to the fields. Spring wasn’t just a season — it was a time for teamwork.

Today, agriculture remains an anchor of the Jackson County economy. As you travel throughout the county, you may see fields being prepared and planters rolling. Take a moment to appreciate the beauty in a regular day under the open skies, the crisp morning air, and the promises of a new beginning with every sunrise.

Take the backroads and enjoy the Kansas farmland and the beauty it presents each season.

Tag someone who loves a good country drive.
