Additionally, Erica is offering guided day hikes in Kachemak Bay State Park.

A mother brown bear reunites with her 2½-year-old cub on the sand flats during low tide in Katmai National Park. Brown bear cubs often stay with their mothers for three summers, sometimes even longer — and as they grow, they gain increasing independence. This mother had been out fishing for flounder while her cub turned over rocks and ate mussels.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
