Voluntourism - Visit the Caribbean! Give back and help rebuild!
The Anguilla Tourist Board is eagerly engaged in planning a number of initiatives that are expected to offer our visitors a different type of “Anguillian Experience”. With many of our industry partners, we are embarking on a number of new journeys that we expect to help maintain our visitor arrivals, attract a different type of traveler while rebuilding key aspects of the island.
Have you ever dreamed of an experience that marries the beauty and charm of the Caribbean with meaningful voluntourism and philanthropy?
The Anguilla Tourist Board is proud to announce its Voluntourism initiative. Voluntourism is a form of tourism in which travelers participate in voluntary work, typically for charity. At the core of Voluntourism is the desire to help others. We wish to welcome our repeat visitors as well as new guests to experience Anguilla in a new way. We will release more information on this programme within the week ahead.
In addition to our initiatives, we will also be engaged in collaborative opportunities with other organisations and businesses. One such collaboration being the “Plant a tree, let it grow” initiative spearheaded by Sandy Island Enterprises. It is an outreach to past, present and future guests to support Anguilla’s drive to restore some of the trees and vegetation lost during hurricane Irma.
We wish to invite other organisations and businesses to partner with the Anguilla Tourist Board as we endeavor to make a strong push towards propelling Anguilla to a place of distinction.
