I see a lot of first time travelers to Japan asking about getting from the airport to their hotel by train. Trains can be very crowded and bringing your luggage can inconvenience others. Some train stations do not have elevators or escalators which means carrying all your luggage up/down stairs. A good alternative is to take an airport limousine bus. There are many options with as many departures. The bus will let you store two bags per person underneath and anything else you would need to bring on board. There is overhead storage that can accommodate most carry on bags. The buses are economical compared to other countries. I usually pay $8-$15 USD each way. The great thing about the bus is it’s direct, they usually stop near major train stations and hotels, you don’t have to cram yourself and your luggage on a crowded train. When you arrive and clear immigration/customs just look for a bus ticket machine or a reservation desk where you can get your tickets.
