Flat Island has a funny way of turning a kayak break into a spa day. No towels required 🌊😄

After paddling across calm, reef-protected waters, guests slip into a deep, sand-bottom tidepool tucked beneath a volcanic rock overhang, where the ocean stays glassy, cool, and shoulder-deep. It’s quiet, scenic, and about as far from Waikiki crowds as you can get. It's just you, the lava rock, and the sound of the sea breathing in and out.

This is one of those Oʻahu moments people don’t expect to find: easy paddling, dramatic geology, and a natural saltwater soak you’ll remember long after the sunscreen fades.

Episode 38 - Kilauea fountains began at 8:45am HST Both the north vent’s two sub vents and the south vent erupted simultaneously producing three seperate fountains shooting in different directions. Estimated heights reached 1200ft.

I just happened to be in Volcano. I was enjoying a slow morning of coffee and bird songs when I checked we**am. I was halfway through cooking breakfast when it started to fire off hundreds of feet in the air. I may have set a record for fastest scrambled egg consumption. It was a mad dash to the crater.

In between the craziness of summer Hawaiian tourism boom time. We managed to have some fun too.

I hopped aboard the Hobie 33ft, Swift Arrow, for the 78th Annual Lahaina Return Regatta. Starting at Honolua Bay, Maui and finishing at Kaneohe Bay, Oahu we finished 1st in our class.

Here we are spinnaker sailing along the North Shore of Molokai.
