From August 17 to 20, the sky will feature a rare alignment of six planets in one striking display.

🔭 What You’ll See

With the naked eye: Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn will shine clearly.

With binoculars or a telescope: Uranus and Neptune will appear faint but rewarding to spot.

🌙 Moon Highlights

August 17–18: A thin crescent Moon will sit near Venus and Jupiter, perfect for photos.

August 19–20: The Moon shifts closer to the lineup, adding to the view.

📍 Viewing Tips

Best time: Around 1 hour before sunrise.

Direction: Look east.

Location: Choose a dark spot away from city lights.

Gear: Your eyes are enough, but binoculars or a telescope help reveal Neptune’s blue and Uranus’s green.

💡 Why It Matters

Planetary parades happen when planets align in the same section of the sky from Earth’s perspective.

This is the final alignment of 2025 and a great way to end the summer stargazing season.
