Day 7: May 11: As we headed home on our last day, we recalled the amazing sights we had seen and the delightful memories and new friends we had made. We visited The Frogmore Plantation in Ferriday, LA, a cotton plantation, after lunch and explored the captivating story of cotton ginning from the early 1800’s to modern day! It’s always wonderful to be back home.

Day 5: May 9: The weather has been good every day. Today we went to Tybee Island, GA to see the oldest & tallest lighthouse in Georgia. Several of us climbed the 178 steps to the top of the lighthouse!! The view did not disappoint us! Then it was lunch and a little free time before we headed back for our last night in Savannah.

Day 3: May 7: This morning we enjoyed a cruise on the Savannah River to see the dolphins. Then had a delicious lunch at the oldest building in Savannah, The Pirate’s House. After lunch, we met our guide and toured the Bonaventure Cemetery , made famous by the book “Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil”. then a city tour of Savannah. Our dinner was a low country boil at Tubby’s Tankhouse. It was a good day.
