Happy birthday to Pratt, Kansas native, Bill Farmer, the voice of Goofy!!

Ah-hyuck! Happy birthday to Disney Legend Bill Farmer, who has been the official voice of Goofy and Pluto since 1986! Bill has gone on to voice memorable characters in hundreds of Disney projects, including the feature films “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” (1988), “Beauty and the Beast” (1991), “Ed Wood” (1994), “a bug’s life” (1998), “Monsters, Inc.” (2001), “Toy Story” (1995), “Cars,” (2006), and "Monsters University" (2013).

We made it back home safely without bringing any ghouls with us. 🙂

We made some fun stops on the way back too! We did a detour to Hiawatha to see the GORGEOUS maple leaves and the incredible Davis Memorial. We also trick or treated at Mrs. Krebs’s grave (she is the mother of modern Halloween).
Then we followed the motto “You Must Go Ta Muscotah” to go see the World’s largest baseball, which is made out of an old water tower top, and the memorial to hometown baseball hall of famer, Joe Tinker.
We stopped and had an absolutely terrific lunch at Trails Cafe in Holton. Put it on your food bucket list!

We also explored the Atchison County Historical Society at the historic 1888 Atchison, Topeka, & Santa Fe train depot.

The hauntings here are of “Hangman” Bill, a real railroad worker who was killed while working. You can hear his footsteps going on the second floor, BUT that floor doesn’t exist anymore…ooooooooo….

Next stop we went to was the Round Mound Cemetery near Cummings, just about 15 minutes south of Atchison. It is known to be haunted and maybe even have the grave of a witch! It was a beautiful cemetery; fantastic location. We were very respectful and was worth the extra drive!
One of our patrons had their phone battery drain!

We got to explore THE Sallie House in Atchison. It is purported to be one of the most haunted places in the entire state if not even the United States! We didn’t feel anything but the girls had a tea party with Sallie. 🙂 One of those cool places you get to say you went to.

We are teaming up this weekend with Heartland Travel Adventures, LLC for a Haunted Atchison tour! So excited! On our way up we stopped and got a fantastic lunch at The Elevator in Valley Falls!

We are so sad to hear of Matt Alford’s passing of cancer. He ran Eyegore's Curiosities and Monster Museum in Cawker City. He moved to Kansas with the dream of creating a roadside attraction. And he accomplished just that!! He loved all things Bigfoot and creating new things. He was such a joy. So many thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. You will be missed so much in the town of twine.
