Hey Jammin’ On The James Fans,
It is with great regret that I am going to have to “POSTPONE” the next Jammin On The James Poker Run until 2016.
The first thing I want to say is that ALL REGISTRATION FEES WILL BE REFUNDED, INCLUDING ANY CREDIT CARD “CONVENIENCE" FEES.
While at this point we DO have some very enthusiastic participants signed-up, we just simply do not have enough of them to justify the time, effort, and cost associated with putting this event together. In addition, the deadline for the financial commitment to hotel room block was fast approaching, and we only had about a third of the blocked rooms booked thus far.
I knew going into this that I was getting a VERY late start relative to finding sponsors, and a FAIRLY late start relative to getting participants. However, I thought I was going to have the time available to overcome both of those issues. As it has turned out, my work with other projects has (and is) taking much more of my time than I expected, and I have simply not had the time needed to address either of those issues… and unfortunately I don’t see that changing.
So, rather than put on an event that might not be the caliber of event that I would be comfortable with, I decided that it is better to just let this year slip by, and focus on a 2016 Jammin’ On The James event. With now having the proper amount of planning & development time, I can make sure that the next Jammin’ On The James event is on caliber with some of the best ones ever held!
I apologize to all of those that were looking forward to the event this year, and hope that you will consider participating in a 2016 Jammin' On The James event.
(Again, if you registered and paid for the 2015 event, I will be contacting you about refunding your registration fee, if I have not done so already.)
