In just three weeks, on May 7, 2025, the new REAL ID law will go into effect. What does this mean for you?
To get through security checkpoints, any traveler 18 or older flying within the U.S. will need a(n):
• State-issued REAL ID (driver’s license or identification card) OR
• Valid passport/passport card OR
• Alternate form of ID accepted by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA)
While enforcement is set to begin in phases, it’s best to ensure you have the proper ID ready to go to avoid delays or being denied access to security lines.
