The Museum has Supper Club Kits!

Here’s how it works: Each kit contains a box of Krusteaz pancake mix, a can of pie filling, and a recipe to make a cobbler. Bake the cobbler - using the pot holder from the Batter Capital of the World, Hopkinsville, KY - to share with friends. While enjoying the sweet treat, flip the box and share your answers to the prompts inspired by “Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude” with your guests. Comment on this post with pictures from your Supper Club gathering.

Kits are available for FREE at the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County - while supplies last!

Earlier this harvest season we welcomed a bus load of visitors from North Carolina for a tour of the Batter Capital of the World….and it’s safe to say they had a super sweet time!

These motorcoach guests started their day with fresh baked pastries from The Corner Coffeehouse before heading to Brame Farms for an immersive behind the scenes farm tour. From there, they followed the wheat’s journey to The Krusteaz Company for a look into how 451 amazing products are made!

A locally made lunch from Bar-B-Que Shack and desserts from Baked Hopkinsville were served at the Visitors center and rounded out the day for these excited travelers, who have already booked a return trip back to Hoptown next year!

We take great pride in bragging on our incredible farmers and Industries that make Hoptown so unique! 🌾 Huge thanks to our community partners for being so willing to tell their stories!

The second annual Cornbread Competition was a sweet success! With a dozen entries this year, our competitors got creative with their recipes and gave our judges the difficult job of selecting a winner!

Congratulations to Terry Meacham, who came out victorious with his “Misfit Cornbread” recipe, which included meat, onions and cheese, in addition to spices!

In second place, First Baptist Church’s Jalapeño Cheddar recipe took the prize, which they donated to the USO Fort Campbell!

Third place went to the Knights of Columbus for their sweet and spicy honey cornbread.

Thanks to our incredible judges, Kevin Maynard, Plant Manager of The Krusteaz Company, Robert Harper, President & CEO of Sunflour and Amy Rogers, Finance & Office Manager at Visit Hopkinsville.

Big thanks to The Bruce for the free cornbread samples we handed out to the public to accompany their chili!

It was an honor to once again partner with the Christian County Military Affairs Committee’s annual Chili Cook-off, and celebrate our amazing military families here in Hopkinsville & Fort Campbell!
