Last night we kicked off our first Sunset Cruise of the season—and it was a beautiful evening on the marsh!
Although our July 5 ride was rescheduled due to rain, we made up for it with a fantastic group of guests who brought great energy to a calm and scenic evening.
Our Sunset Cruise starts with light snacks and drinks at the Landing Lounge Café, followed by a relaxing boat tour through the peaceful beauty of Horicon Marsh at dusk.
⚠️ Our next scheduled cruise on August 2 is already sold out, so we’ve added another date: Saturday, August 16.

Looking for an unforgettable adventure on the marsh? Our Mud Boat Adventure Tour is hands-down the most exciting experience we offer!
This private tour is perfect for up to three guests (plus your guide) aboard a stable, shallow-draft mud boat. Unlike traditional outboards, our boat can access areas other motors can’t—allowing us to explore hard-to-reach parts of the marsh quickly and safely.
We travel approximately 6 miles through wetland habitat, sticking to main travel corridors and taking care to avoid sensitive areas. The tour lasts about 90 minutes and is fully tailored to your interests—whether you’re a birdwatcher, a history buff, or just looking to float peacefully and take in the serenity of this wetland paradise.

Whether you're a seasoned paddler or new to the water, Blue Heron Landing is here to help you launch your next marsh adventure with ease and confidence.
✅ Bring your own kayak or canoe – launching is free for patrons of our on-site café.
✅ Need a rental? We've got you covered with quality equipment and friendly service.
✅ Shuttle Service Available – Park at Blue Heron Landing and we’ll shuttle you to the Green Head boat landing so you can enjoy a scenic 6.5-mile paddle back. The journey takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. Shuttles are by appointment only and available for both personal and rented units.

🌿 Hello friends! It’s been a hot minute since our last update, so we wanted to catch you up on everything happening here at Blue Heron Landing!

🚤 Horicon Marsh Boat Tours are going strong! Our season kicked off Mother’s Day weekend with the annual Horicon Marsh Bird Festival, where guests enjoyed a variety of guided tours through the Marsh and surrounding wildlife areas. A big THANK YOU to the Horicon Marsh Bird Club—your passion and knowledge help make this event a yearly success!

📅 Daily sightseeing tours are keeping us busy! Tours run at 11 AM and 1 PM, Wednesday through Sunday. Come see the beauty of the Marsh with us!

🚌 We’re also welcoming more Motor Coach Tours this year! These group visits are great for us—and for local restaurants, since our guests are always on the lookout for a good meal before or after their tour.

🌅 Looking ahead to summer, we’re excited to bring back our popular Sunset Cruise Tours! These adults-only, 2-hour cruises include a drink, snacks, and stunning views of the Marsh at dusk. The first one of the season sets sail at 6:30 PM on Saturday, July 5th. Don’t miss it!
