One of my favorite traditions I brought home from my years living in West Texas is roasting fresh green chiles every fall. š¶ļø
The smell alone takes me right back.
And on our upcoming trip to Santa Fe, weāre getting to experience it the authentic way during a private hands-on class at the beautiful Santa Fe School of Cooking.
Weāll be roasting and peeling fresh green chiles, learning to make chile rellenos, fresh salsa, and other incredible New Mexican dishes that are deeply rooted in the culture and traditions of the Southwest.
Then weāll sit down together and enjoy the meal we created together. š¤
This is the kind of experience I love most while traveling⦠not just seeing a place, but learning something from it and bringing a little piece of it home with you.
Food has a way of connecting people, stories, and memories ā and Santa Fe does that so beautifully. š
