***We offer a location to dock your boat free of charge if you don't want to launch daily. It's a short, 8 mile drive from Lakeview Landing. The docking location is located off the North West portion of Houghton Lake. Its just down the river a short jaunt (less than 1/2 mile) from The North Shore Lounge/Bar and the Houghton Lake Marina & Power. The Space:
JUST remodeled from top to bottom, Lakeview Landing offers a stylish (rustic farmhouse), sophisticated, and comfortable stay. It's stocked with unique, handmade, one of a kind, furniture items. The house features a beautifully decorated and fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook. The stylish bathroom is stocked with fresh towels and anything you may have forgotten during your travels. Both bedrooms have brand new, queen, memory foam mattresses for a comfortable, good night, sleep. The living room couch transitions into a pull out sofa bed and we also offer a Queen sized air mattress. You will also find a full-sized washer and dryer for any laundry needs you may have. After coming in off the lake, kick back in the comfortable living room or lounge in the back or side yard. Grab a seat around the fire pit and make some S'mores! Central Air and heating are provided! You will find Lakeview Landing nestled in a quiet neighborhood among other cottages and houses on the East side of Houghton Lake, MI. The property has a double lot which allows for extra room and privacy from neighbors. The house is 600 feet from the water via the public, road-end, launch (for non-motorized boats). The road end access can be used for swimming, kayaking, or paddleboarding. At the road end, you will find easy access via a shallow shoreline with white sandy bottoms that extend out into Houghton Lake. Within a mile of the house, you can also find the public boat launch. ***We also offer a location to dock your boat during your stay (8-miles away) if you don't want to launch daily(see OTHER detail section). Located at the end of the road, within walking distance, is one of the best restaurants/pubs in Houghton Lake (The Spikehorn). There is also a lovely park (Truman Gardner Park) at the end of the street that offers a children's playground, tennis courts, and picnic areas. Higgins Lake South State Park is another great location for swimming and is just a few miles away! There are many awesome day trip locations nearby as well (Traverse City, Sleepy Bear Dunes, Mackinac Island, and more)!
