Rent an ORV from a local Keweenaw outfitter like Copper Country Rentals and go explore. You'll get some of the first peeks of fall color, but with the added bonus of goldenrod in bloom and mountain ash loaded with berries.

On September 26, the Calumet Theatre stage comes alive with "Dreams" and "Ghosts", two live radio-style episodes featuring stories from author Carol Dunbar and music and wit from the fabulous Nellie McKay.

Part theatre, part radio show, part Copper Country history and culture lesson. Add old Calumet, autumn in the air and the theatre’s haunted history, and you’ve got one unforgettable night. 👻

Palosaari Corn Maze in Chassell is ready for the season by late September, with a corn maze grown from spring planting, pumpkins raised through summer and all the familiar trappings of a proper Michigan fall. Hayrides, cider, wandering through the corn, sunshine and bursts of fall color. This family farm is one vibrant piece of a much bigger season, joining the annual chorus of fall farms, festivals and traditions unfolding across the Keweenaw as summer gives way to autumn. 🍂
