Frog falls, 18ft waterfall, more waterfalls above, total of 30 feet of waterfalls in this gorge. This is a creek I've had on my radar for over 10 years and finally made it there. We bushwacked 2 miles in on one creek looking for waterfalls along the way, which we did. total of about 7 new waterfalls today.

I fell into the mud hole! Biking can be muddy sometimes. I think I hit a rock or log under the
water and down I went. I just couldn’t keep myself up. Was able to go through plenty of mud holes but not this one. Along the ride I dried out.
This was about 3miles in on the ride of a 28mile adventure.
What’s your biking fail?

600 feet descent on the e-bike off Mount Arvon, Michigan’s high point. This was the last stretch of a 28 mile bike ride though the Huron Mountains.

Have you been here before? This is Mount Arvon, Michigan’s high point. It’s 1979 feet in the oldest mountain chain in the US.
March through May road to Mt Arvon is closed to cars, trucks, SXS, and ORVs.

28 Mile Bike Adventure in the Huron Mountains and Huron Bay Grade.
A great day for adventure by bike through mud holes, across creeks. over beaver dams, up and down gravel roads, and small two tracks. The weather was perfect but biting black flies were out. Night ended with a colorful sunset at Mt Arvon and a final 600 foot descent back to the vehicle.

Outdoor adventures should never be rushed. Slow down. Look around. Below are a few things I saw on my latest adventure yesterday 5.21.26
It's ok if you don't make it to your destination. What's important is that it was memorable and you saw things you weren't expecting to see, and you enjoyed the day, alone, with friends, or with family.
Reishi mushrooms, huge pine tree, Capt Americas shield, copper in basalt.

Just out and about searching for undocumented waterfalls in Marquettte county. Two creeks and 7 waterfalls. Most were small little drops. Biggest waterfall I found was a 20ft multi tiered cascade alongside a 30ft cliff.
I’ll be posting more from this adventure soon.

Serious waterfalls for serious people. There’s 6 waterfalls along the West Branch Sturgeon River to enjoy. I highly recommend that you bring watershoes or wear rubber boots so you can see every waterfall easily. You will have a much easier time. Beware there are steep cliffs and ravines and the rock can be slippery in the river as well. For a serious waterfall lover this is a wonderful series of waterfalls to visit if you put in the effort.
I do not lead tours here but I do at many other waterfall locations in the Upper Peninsula.

What is it? It’s a little brown bat sleeping on a boulder right next to the creek I was hiking up yesterday, right above a large waterfall. A friend spotted it as we were hanging out. It was making little bat noises. Downstream I had also heard these little squeals in spots we took a break along the gorge. Never have I seen them resting in the wide open like this. I think the spot was a little cooler and it enjoyed the mist and cool air near the water rushed down the creek.
Things like this make your adventures even more memorable. Be sure to slow down and look around because you never know what you’re going to see.
