🏔️ ALASKA: WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT?

Alaska is an incredible destination, but one of the most important decisions you’ll make when planning your trip is WHEN to go!

The season you choose can completely change your experience.

☀️ SUMMER IN ALASKA (May–September)

Summer is the most popular time to explore Alaska, especially for those interested in cruising and exploring the interior.

You can experience:

* Spectacular glacier viewing in Glacier Bay and the Inside Passage
* Wildlife viewing, including bears, whales, moose, and eagles
* Scenic rail journeys and visits to Denali National Park
* Extended daylight hours, including the midnight sun in northern Alaska
* Incredible opportunities for hiking, fishing, and exploring Alaska’s wilderness

❄️ WINTER IN ALASKA (November–April)

Winter offers an entirely different experience, with opportunities to enjoy:

* Northern lights viewing, particularly around Fairbanks

* Snow-covered landscapes and fewer visitors

Keep in mind that April is a transitional month in many parts of Alaska, so winter activities and northern lights viewing opportunities become more limited as the season progresses.

Alaska Airlines is expanding its network with the launch of four new non-stop routes from Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC), Alaska, USA.

✨ International Route

1.Tokyo Narita (NRT), Japan: Daily flights during the summer season, commencing May 13, 2027, and operating through September 7, 2027. Three weekly flights will operate during the winter season, commencing January 2028.

✨ Aircraft: Boeing 737 MAX 8.

✨ Domestic Routes

2. Austin (AUS), Texas: One weekly flight on Saturdays, commencing June 12, 2027, and operating through August 7, 2027.

3.Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Texas: One weekly flight on Saturdays, commencing June 12, 2027, and operating through August 7, 2027.

4.Nashville (BNA), Tennessee: One weekly flight on Saturdays, commencing June 12, 2027, and operating through August 7, 2027.

IMPORTANT TRAVEL UPDATE | NEW CDC REQUIREMENT EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 3, 2026

If you have international travel planned, particularly a return flight to the United States, there is a new CDC requirement you should be aware of.

Beginning November 3, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EST, all passengers flying into the United States from an international destination will be required to complete a health declaration before boarding.

What does this mean for travelers?

The CDC is requiring passengers to confirm that they have NOT been in the Democratic Republic of the Congo during the previous 21 days. This measure is related to ongoing Ebola prevention efforts.

A few important things to know:

* This applies to everyone, including U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, international visitors, and children.
* It applies regardless of where your international flight originates, whether you’re returning from Europe, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, or elsewhere.
* Airlines will be responsible for collecting the declaration electronically or on paper before boarding.
* Travelers who have recently visited the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, or South Sudan may face additional travel restrictions.

For most travelers, this will simply mean completing an additional declaration before boarding your flight home.

This is NOT a new vaccination requirement, and it does not prevent ordinary international travel.

Our exclusive group rates do not include Princess Plus, but it can be added for $70 per person, per day, totaling $8,960 for two guests for the entire 64-day cruise.

Why I’m Still Excited About the 2029 Coral Princess Amazon & Antarctica Voyage

Over the past few days, my page has received an extraordinary number of comments about Princess Cruises’ decision to expand Sanctuary Collection to additional ships.

I’ve read your comments, and I understand the frustration. I’ve also shared my own concerns about the changes.

Some of you may be wondering why I’m continuing to promote the 64-day Coral Princess voyage in 2029.

The answer is simple: The itinerary.

This sailing brings together destinations that many travelers spend years hoping to experience. Antarctica, the Chilean fjords, Cape Horn, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, the Amazon River, and the Panama Canal, all on one extended voyage.

Princess hasn’t offered Amazon River cruising since 2014, which makes this itinerary particularly interesting.

But I also want to address something important.

Coral Princess is not included in the recently announced Sanctuary Collection.

I believe travelers deserve to know that before making a commitment.

As a travel advisor, my responsibility isn’t to defend every decision a cruise line makes. It’s to provide accurate information, explain the advantages and potential concerns, and help my clients make informed decisions.

I’m still very enthusiastic about this itinerary, and I’ll continue sharing information about the destinations, the ship, stateroom options, and what travelers can expect from 64 days at sea.
