Friday we had a little baby shower for one of our staff member Brooke Crochet Porche. It’s important to celebrate those important miles stones our people go through. Congratulations Brooke & Nick Porche. We can’t wait to meet baby Oliver 💙

We lost one of our babies from our Hangar fire in November and she is donating her organs to save others. Yesterday she left on a trailer for a long road trip to Canada. Good bye N50KD

Shout out to everyone that came help Apex Jet Center to made this event happen. Unfortunately I don’t have pictures of everyone but this weekend would not have worked without all your help. Juan and I want to say a big thank you to all the Apex staff and all the friends and family that came in to help us out. We did it pink team!!!

Wow, just wow!!!! The Apex team pulled it off. We had 183 planes that landed at the Houma Airport, something we all never seen before. This Super Bowl weekend is a weekend we will never forget.

As many of you know today was not the best of days. We had a fire that has taken over our office and one of our hangars. Luckily the people in the offices were able to get out safely and call the fire department. Thanks to the first responders the fire has been under control and have mitigated as much damages as possible.

We will be in operations tomorrow to support our community and continue flight operations to the best of our ability.

We wanted to say thank you to our team! Everyone came together and made it all happen, we were able to become operational in 2 hours for fuelings to help keep Search and Rescue (SARs missions), Air National Guard, Coast Guard, Air Med and LA State Police all supported.

As well our charter department was able to accomplish 3 independent liver transportations, a heart transplant team and two personal/business charter flights.

Today we are now back to normal operations within 24 hours of a cat II hurricane. Thank to everyone again for their efforts all of these life changing events were all possible due to the work being put in!

Exactly 3 years ago our life was thrown upside down overnight because of Hurricane Ida. Ida completely destroyed our business, our homes, our employees homes and so much damage in Terrebonne Parish. People do not always understand why it took us 3 years to rebuild . It was a major struggle to rebuild stronger and better due to extensive damages, the lack of resources from Covid and the two years fight against our insurance. We did it though. We finally won the battle after a lot of sweat, tears and perseverance. We want to say thank you to everyone that helped us after the hurricane. Thank you to the employees that showed up right after the hurricane and worked countless hours in miserable conditions to help clean up. Thank you to Bobby Butler who let us establish our business in is mobile home. Thank you to all the airplanes that brought food & supplies to the Houma community . Thank you to everyone who still came and supported us which kept our business alive even though our facility was badly damaged. We did it, we finally rebuilt.

Announcing Today's Louisiana Aviation Hall of Fame Inductee: Charlie Hammonds

Charlie Hammonds acquired his licenses in both planes and seaplanes at the age of only 17. In 1960, at 21, he established the Hammonds Air Service--a flight school and maintenance service still active in Houma, Louisiana, co-operated by Hammonds and his son, Lindy. Throughout his career, Hammonds acquired a vast collection of aviation artifacts ranging from antiques from World War II, aviation memorabilia, to signed Top Gun paraphernalia. Hammonds is followed in his aviation career by his sons Lindy Hammonds and Ricky Hammonds, a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and former staffmember of the U.S. Navy Fighter Weapons School, both commercial pilots.
