Pequeño, pero con alma de fuego.
Este diminuto colibrí chispita (Selasphorus flammula) mide apenas 7 cm, pero su presencia brilla como pocas en los bosques nublados de Costa Rica.
Endémico de estas tierras altas, es una joya viva que late a un ritmo imposible, con hasta 80 aleteos por segundo y una energía inagotable.

En esta imagen, el reto fue capturar la textura de su plumaje y la serenidad de un instante de pausa, tan escaso en su frenético día a día.
El Chispita no solo es veloz, también es símbolo de vida, fragilidad y belleza concentrada.

La coordinación de Horas Conferencia de la Escuela de Ciencias de la Comunicación Colectiva les da la más cordial bienvenida al primer semestre del 2025.

Tendremos una conferencia con el reconocido fotógrafo de naturaleza español José D. Riquelme, quien estará en el país realizando un taller sobre astrofotografía.

José D. Riquelme, fotógrafo de paisajes nacido en Murcia, España, combina su experiencia en diseño gráfico e impresión con su pasión por la fotografía, logrando imágenes cautivadoras de paisajes y escenas nocturnas. Ha obtenido numerosos premios internacionales, incluyendo “Fotógrafo del Año” en 2021 y 2023 en la categoría nocturna de los 35Awards, y el título de “Fotógrafo del Año” en los Espían Pano Awards 2023.

Ha sido galardonado con cuatro medallas de oro consecutivas en el Trierenberg Super Circuit de Viena, además de múltiples reconocimientos en los Siena International Photo Awards y los Pano Epson Awards. También ha logrado la tercera posición en el Xposure International Photography Festival y ha sido premiado en el International Landscape Photographer of the Year.

Su trabajo ha sido publicado en medios como National Geographic, Forbes, BBC, El País y Dailymail, consolidando su prestigio en el ámbito editorial. Actualmente, imparte talleres y tours fotográficos en todo el mundo, inspirando a otros con su conocimiento y talento en la fotografía de paisajes.
