Day 5: Disneyland Park & Galaxy’s Edge

We were back in Disneyland Park for Day 5!

We spent the morning in Galaxy’s Edge and rode Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon. We ate a breakfast Ronto Wrap at Ronto Roasters and had fried chicken bao buns from Docking Bay 7.

The best part was watching Darth Vader make his epic entrance out of the TIE fighter.

Since it was our last day, we had to fit in a few classics before leaving. We rode Indiana Jones Adventure, Big Thunder, Hyperspace Mountain, and it’s a small world.

The night ended with the Paint the Night parade!

Disneyland, it’s been an epic run! I hate to leave, but today we travel back to reality.

Day 4: Disney California Adventure

Favorite Rides:

Sadie’s - Web Slingers
Jace’s - Mission Breakout
Me: Incredicoaster
Jeff’s: Radiator Springs Racers

Sadie’s favorite character meet was Loki.

We were pixie dusted by a lovely Cast Member who graciously gifted us with a pass to enter the Lightning Lane queue for Mission Breakout multiple times. Jace and I rode 3 times which is incredible as the standby wait times soared to over 100 minutes!

The night ended with a World of Color Dessert Party. I love that we were seated 45 min prior to the show to enjoy wine, charcuterie, desserts, and hot chocolate. We were seated at a high top table the entire time and the view was incredible!

Day 3 - Break Day: Disney Princess Breakfast and Downtown Disney

Sadie and I had breakfast with the princesses at Napa Rose located in Disney’s Grand Californian. We met Raya, Ariel, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, Jasmine, Aurora, and Rapunzel. This was truly an incredible experience!

After breakfast, we rested at the hotel for a bit and then headed to Downtown Disney for shopping and lunch.

Lunch was at Black Tap Burgers and it was delicious! I love being within a short walking distance of all the amazing restaurants here!

Day 2: Disneyland Park

Despite it being very busy on Mother’s Day, we still accomplished 13 attractions and tried 6 different food spots.

Favorite Ride Overall: Indiana Jones Adv.

Favorite Savory Food Spots: Little Red Wagon & Bengal BBQ

Favorite Sweet Treat: Classic Cinnamon Churro

Favorite Classic Movie Rides: Mr. Toad & Snow White

Best Place to Sit in the Shade & Rest: Hungry Bear BBQ Jamboree (tons of seating!)

I didn’t take a ton pictures because I’m trying to stay more in-the-moment, but we had a blast!

Day 1: Disneyland Hotel, Great Maple, and Downtown Disney

We made it to Disneyland Resort in California for the 70th Anniversary celebration!

Home for the next week is Disneyland Hotel, and the spacious room is perfect for our family of 4 with two queen beds and a fold down daybed. I love the classic Disney Parks theming found throughout Disneyland Hotel - it’s absolutely lovely and so nostalgic.

Our first stop after check-in was brunch at Great Maple at Pixar Place Hotel. The food was heavenly - everything was fresh and flavorful!

We headed over to Downtown Disney for shopping and to walk off brunch. I always have to make my way over to World of Disney for t-shirts and ears. The Pin Traders kiosk always has the best pins!

The Animal Kingdom maps have officially been updated. RIP Dinosaur - one of my son’s favorite rides when he was little. The end of an era, but looking forward to new and exciting things coming.
