So in 1919 in 4th Ward a playhouse called "The American" was created so colored ppl could enjoy the finest form of entertainment. Fast foward to 1980's my.grandfathers cafe Bradley's Playhouse.(zoom in to see the sign) I always wonder why he went with Playhouse.. now I know a bit more.. ps.. both establishments are literally two blocks away. (No longer standing of course)
