I just got back from Walt Disney World! It was a magical experience and I can't wait to share all of my recent experiences, tips and tricks for families, and best things of the trip!

I took two children, one husband, and four grandparents. There were 8 people, and yes, it was like wrangling chickens. Totally worth it!

Here is a video of the brand new Disney Cruise ship, the Treasure! It opens for booking in just a few days, and it will likely sell out quickly! The biggest, newest ships do! For example, the brand new Royal Caribbean ship the Icon of the Seas that debuts in January 2024 has sold out 8 months prior to sailing.

Availability to purchase opens as early as September 12 which is next Tuesday. Take a look at the Treasure which roots itself in exploration and adventure! What do you think?

I think sensory headphones / noise cancelling earmuffs are an excellent option for kids with autism, toddlers who have a higher noise sensitivity, or anyone who wants to enjoy the light show without such a high volume.

Have you ever used this method to enjoy either 4th of July or at Disney? They've been awesome for my little kids!

I do not recommend all cruises for all clients - your experience will be best when a particular cruise line and specific ship is right for your group. An experience on the new Royal Caribbean Icon of the Seas ship is excellent for full families especially with kids, but not couples looking for a relaxing, elevated vacation. For that couple I would recommend a much smaller ship, such as Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean International Icon of the Seas is the newest and largest cruise ship to be released in 2024, and this luxury family ship is almost sold out! I booked a room for this client because her original choice was sold out. I worked with Royal Caribbean and was able to get her a better room in a better location and save her $500!

This is one of the reasons you should work with me as your travel agent: even after you book the trip I'm looking to see if we can get more for your vacation, including any price drops the company offers that you wouldn't know about if you had booked on your own.

You know that I currently don't charge extra for my services as your travel advisor, right? The price you'd pay to book it yourself is usually higher than what you'd pay to book with me, and I bet you don't watch all prices and bookings leading up to your trip. You are already paying for a service that you don't get when you book on your own.

What three hotels do I love for families traveling to Walt Disney World?

One of my favorites for families is the Polynesian Resort! It is on the monorail and two stops away from the Magic Kingdom, which means you can take a break during a day of fun with little kids for a nap. It only takes a few minutes to get back to the park! You get the added benefit of being able to see the nightly fireworks from certain hotel rooms, excellent for kids who may be afraid of the loud noises.

Another favorite is the Animal Kingdom Lodge, located nearby Animal Kingdom. You can see animals outside your hotel room on the property! Waking up to a zebra or ostrich makes you feel in the middle of wildlife!

One of my personal choices for WDW is the Beach Club Resort, located steps away from the Epcot World Showcase. The pool is the best one on property, with a sand bottom pool and amazing slide. The sandy beach outside the hotel is great for anyone to play in and great for your arrival day. Being a short walk away from Epcot means you can take a break from the amazing food and fun for a nap, perfect for the whole family.
