Disney just released a new promotion for select fall and holiday travel dates, and I was excited to see that there is availability that even lines up with our school district’s fall break!

Looking out at the ocean this morning, I was reminded of something.

A past client reached out today for help planning her Mediterranean cruise for next year. As we chatted, (between breakfast and Tai Chi) she mentioned another cruise she has booked and didn’t realize that I had actually helped with her with a sailing before.

Jet lag hit hard, but Japan is already making up for it. 🇯🇵✨

We crashed around 7:00 PM Japan time after being up since 5:00 AM CST on Sunday and landing on Monday. Then I woke up at 9:45 PM in a full panic, completely confused and wondering what day it was.

Did I sleep more than 24 hours?
Where am I?
What year is it?

Travel brain is real. 😂

Thankfully, breakfast at 6:00 AM helped, followed by a little walk around the hotel before answering a few work emails. The views around the hotel are so green and peaceful, and breakfast came with a few fun surprises too.

Tiny Yakult? Yes.
A supplement buffet? Also yes.
Me trying to act normal while my body has no idea what time zone we’re in? Absolutely.

First full day in Japan is officially underway!

What’s the worst jet lag you’ve ever had? Did you power through it or crash immediately like we did?

Out of Office-ish ✈️

Headed to Japan 🇯🇵 for a 9-day mother-son cruise on the Diamond Princess and a little extra exploration!

I’ll still be checking in, but my response time may be a little delayed over the next couple of weeks while we travel.

Big thanks to my backup crew at home and at work who make adventures like this possible.

Now off to make memories… and probably take notes for future clients. 😉

Back from Disney and officially back in the office… which looks a lot like this. 😆

My dog apparently decided he missed me and has not left my side since I got home. Which makes working on a laptop interesting when half the laptop space is occupied by a furry coworker.

I’ve spent the day catching up on client emails and quote requests, which is actually my favorite part of the job. If you’re waiting to hear from me, check your inbox!

Now that I’m almost caught up, it’s time for my least favorite task… laundry. Because somehow vacation laundry multiplies while you’re gone.

Also, only 10 days until Japan! 🇯🇵✈️

You want the iconic EPCOT photo… but not 47 strangers, 3 strollers, and someone eating a pretzel in the background. 😅🌐

I found the spot.

Tucked just off the main walkway near Guest Relations, this little angle gives you a gorgeous, uncrowded view of Spaceship Earth framed by flowers and trees. She’s giving peaceful. She’s giving magical. She’s giving “yes, I absolutely know what I’m doing.” ✨

Because Disney photos should look like a dream… not a Where’s Waldo page.

Headed to Walt Disney World for a quick adult getaway, and this trip is going to look a little different. ✨

After battling a few health hiccups, I’m reminding myself that Disney doesn’t have to be rope drop to park close to be magical.

This trip will be about a relaxed pace, late mornings, great meals, air-conditioning breaks, and enjoying the little moments instead of trying to do it all.

That’s one of the things I love most about Disney. It can be customized to fit the season you’re in. Sometimes that means every ride and every show. Sometimes it means slow strolls, resort time, and a Mickey bar in the shade.

There’s no “wrong” way to Disney. There’s just the way that works best for you. 💙

I’ll be sharing along the way and taking notes for clients who want a more relaxed, adult-friendly Disney experience.

A client surprised me today with these beautiful handmade flowers as a thank you. 🗺️💐

They’re made from map pages, which feels especially meaningful because each petal was carefully shaped, layered, and created by hand.

I’m so grateful for the thoughtful gesture, and even more grateful for the people I get to work with. This one really made my day. 💛
