All-inclusive resorts often get grouped into one category, but in reality, the experience can vary quite a bit.
Two resorts might look similar in photos but feel completely different once you arrive.
The atmosphere, food quality, service style, and overall energy all play a role in how the trip actually unfolds.

That’s why I focus less on “what looks best online” and more on what actually fits the traveler.
Some people want energy and entertainment. Others want quiet and space to unwind.

I JUST GOT BACK FROM EL DORADO CASITAS ROYALE AND THIS ONE HAS A VERY SPECIFIC KIND OF TRAVELER WRITTEN ALL OVER IT.

What stood out most to me was how calm and relaxed the entire property felt.
It’s lush, intimate, couples-focused, and has that easy kind of atmosphere where you can actually slow down and enjoy where you are.
I also really appreciated that it feels distinctly Mexico, not like a resort that could be anywhere.
That’s one of the reasons I love experiencing properties firsthand. It gives me a much better sense of who a resort is truly right for, not just what looks good online.

A luxury safari should feel personal long before you arrive at the lodge.
That was one of my biggest takeaways from last week’s Vacation Nights with Live Life Safaris.
Luxury here isn’t just about beautiful accommodations. It’s thoughtful service, authentic wildlife experiences, less-crowded places, and having people on the ground making sure all those little details come together.

In other words, the experience should be designed around you.

YES, IT’S AUGUST. AND YES, NOW IS THE TIME TO THINK ABOUT HOLIDAY TRAVEL.

Some of the most popular holiday experiences, especially European Christmas markets, river cruises, and luxury holiday getaways, begin filling much earlier than people realize.
There are still possibilities for 2026, but flexibility matters more now. And if you already know you want a very specific itinerary, cabin, or travel experience, getting ahead on 2027 holiday travel can mean far more choices.

That’s really what this is about: not rushing into a trip, but giving yourself enough time to create the one that actually fits you.
