Let's Travel Together became a new, start-up business in 2001, in Houston, TX, by entrepreneur Melodye Martinelli. Her business background was 28 years in the corporate telecommunications industry while living in Texas, Colorado and New Jersey. This career allowed her to travel most of the United States, which was how she first discovered her interest in exploring new places. Melodye was also a Te
xas Real Estate broker and business partner. Another business interest was the start-up of a successful restaurant in mid-town Houston. Not having a family and finding herself with "burn-out and stress," she decided to take a leave of absence from the business world at age 45. The plan was to sell the New Jersey home, store all belongings and travel for 6 months. She would decide what the next chapter in her life would be while travelling. SEVEN years later having traveled the world solo ("stuff" remaining in storage), she decided to return to Houston, and start a travel business. Why seven years? It was her obsession and passion to continue her education to learn more about herself, the religions of the world, the civilizations of people who share this beautiful planet earth. She also wanted to "connect the dots" of history and to better understand politics and foreign policies. She also enjoyed the great outdoors and experienced some of the world's most scenic landscapes. After returning to Houston she went to South Texas Law School to acquire her "Mediator" License, with the primary focus being travel mediation. Melodye was confident she could merge her business and travel experience to help others live their travel dreams and expand their own horizons. She decided the mission statement for Let's Travel Together would be "Providing Unique Discoveries and Memorable Experiences." She would also provide top professional service, and encourage clients to "go off the beaten path." Because Melodye is adventurous and has a curious nature, her experiences and interests are extremely diverse. With each client, she specializes in working with them to "maximize" their travel visions and encourages them to try something new when appropriate. She follows up with all of her clients after they return to listen to their travel stories and see photos. While Melodye does work with many "luxury travel" clients, she also cares greatly to help her moderate and budget travel clients realize their dreams. Her goal is to exceed everyone's expectations, and to have clients return to Let's Travel Together for all their future travels and to refer their family and friends. She can also advise her clients where and when to travel in order to maximize your travel dollars. Her top specialty is Australia where she has acquired the much coveted status of Premium Aussie Travel Specialist. She also has specialty certification for New Zealand, Africa, Thailand, South Pacific, and many more destinations.
