The Consulate General of Italy in Houston, Com.It.Es. of Houston, and the West South-Central Chapter of ISSNAF invite graduate students and postdoctoral researchers (within 7 years of obtaining their PhD) in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma to submit abstracts for a poster presentation of their research.

🇮🇹 Grants for K-12 Schools: Promoting Italian Language & Culture 📚

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) is offering grants to support Italian language teaching by covering teachers’ salaries.
Schools interested in applying for the grants must submit the required forms and letter through the Education Office at the Consulate General of Italy in San Francisco by March 18th, 2025.

Yesterday, Consul General Lorenzini attended the 11th edition of Taste of Italy 2025 in Houston, marking another successful year for this premier event. Held on March 3 at the Hilton Houston Post Oak by the Galleria, the trade fair brought together over 500 professionals from the food, wine, and gourmet sectors.

The event showcased over 300 exceptional Italian products, offering valuable networking and business opportunities for all attendees.

The Italy-America Chamber of Commerce of Texas continues to play a vital role in fostering business relationships and enhancing the visibility of Italian excellence in the U.S. market.

Celebrating Italian Design Day and Italian Excellence in Texas! 🇮🇹

Consul General of Italy in Houston, Mauro Lorenzini, highlights the booming presence of Italian businesses in Texas. With already hundreds of Italian enterprises operating here, the numbers continue to rise. As the second-largest economy in the US, Texas offers tremendous opportunities, having shown continuous growth for the past 15 years.

During the latest stop of the Salone del Mobile.Milano's U.S. tour, Houston shines as a key destination, underlining the value of design and innovation. The Italian Trade Agency (ITA) and Salone del Mobile teamed up to create strategic connections and showcase the impact of Italian-made products.

📈 The U.S. continues to be a key market for Italian design, with Texas ranking as the third-largest state for sales of authentic Italian products. Italian design alone contributes $300 million to the economy, doubling pre-pandemic figures.

As part of our efforts to provide increasingly effective services to the Italian community, the Consulate General of Italy in Houston will hold two days entirely dedicated to the collection of biometric data for passport issuance/renewal and submission of Civil Status documentation (births, marriages/civil unions, divorces).

📅 Dates: March 4 & 5, 2025
📍 Location: Dallas, TX (address to be provided via email)

This initiative is intended for Italian citizens regularly registered with AIRE who reside in the Dallas area. Our mobile station will be available to serve those living far from Houston.

How to participate:
