Here are some reasons "why" you should take travel abroad as an important goal in your life;
Better Job Opportunity
You have opportunity to get a better job if you include your travel experience in your resume.
Hiring teams look for employees who are self-starters. Seeing that a candidate spent time working abroad or has attended conference abroad shows initiative.
Many companies, especially international ones, want employees who can think on a global scale. Going abroad will open your mind to how people from other countries perceive the world. You will be able to sell a product or service from a completely different perspective. Hiring managers see people who have traveled to different countries as open-minded and able to think outside of the box.
Global exposure
The more you put yourself out there and expose yourself to different situations, different people, and different cultures, the greater your presence in the global community will be.
Global exposure means global thinking.
This remind me of Bishop Oyedepo's experience when he traveled to USA many years ago. He was at Oral Roberts University and saw what the power of vision can do to a nation. He said "this can also happen in Nigeria" I believe that was what gave birth to Canaan University and two other Universities today.
Traveling will affect your lifestyle positively.
Opportunities and Connections
The people you thought you will never meet, the opportunities you never think of coming across are at your fingertips when you start traveling abroad.
It is outside the country you can have a one-on-one contact to that CEO or that highly esteemed political figure that their bodyguard or secretary will never give you access to. Likewise you can make business contacts easily in international workshops, conferences or trade shows.
Opportunities of different category are available to travelers of all kinds I can assure you.
