A Pastor & a Mayor step into the van.... No, they really did! Ok, cheesy, I know. Anyway, these hiker friends were at the polar opposite end of the northwoods adventure spectrum. The Pastor, on the left, was doing his FINAL leg of the S*T. The Mayor, on the right, was doing his very first! Then there's Twig in the middle who has to put up with all of my cheesy stories when no one is in the van. But I have good snacks so he puts up with me.

The season is winding down but there are still a couple of good weeks of hiking left with this unseasonably warm fall! We'd love to be able to support you on your first, last, or somewhere in between section hike of the S*T and beyond! ~ Linda

These hikers have been on the BRT before, but this is their first time thru-hiking it. They’re most looking forward to the trees, overlooks, and lack of crowds. Bingo! The BRT provides all three!

Sometimes our day starts before the birds wake up. It’s lovely to watch day break! Are you an early bird? We can be too! Do we like it? No! But we'll do it just for you. No extra charge for early (or late) shuttles.

Woop woop! This is the FIRST thru-hike planned for these avid hikers. They chose the BRT (Border Route Trail) as their adventure. While the BRT is a rugged trail, now is a good time to dig your hiking shoes into it. There have been recent maintenance crews out on the trail (thank you, thank you!) clearing up deadfalls and brush. In addition, foliage that hangs over the trail dies back in the fall. This day hiker has her eyes on the… ground! The forest floor looks like it’s littered with treasure this time of year. Of course, there’s the leaves. Those are like gold medallions. But then, scattered amongst the leaves, are all the cool jewels of fungi, flora, and perhaps even fauna that one can find on a beautiful day in the woods. Treasure hunters, get out there!

Yes! We all have different speeds. We all have different priorities. We are all different and it does not matter how slow or how fast we hike. This can be applied to just about everything in life that makes us wonderfully and amazingly different! What matters the most is that we're out there, moving and enjoying nature. 🥾🌲
