Our Story, in a Nutshell

Red Dog Outfitters has been leading the industry in the last few years by not selling "dream hunts" but being transparent and providing a realistic quality hunt at an affordable rate. Let's face it, if you can’t pass a 130" 8 point at 12 yards you'll probably never kill a 170. We have the BIG Deer too, but not everyone shoots one. That's reality. I simply will not exaggerate to make a sale. If anything I sell myself short in efforts to exceed your expectations. I started this company on August 8th, 2010. We had just taken Piper to a hunt test that day as I was out to prove to Patty that Piper was special. She passed and during the event, I got to talking to a man about my prior experience as a Waterfowl Guide. I asked him if he’d hire me if I were to get licensed again, he said yes. That day I called my current friend Jim and asked if we could work on some hunting together and he said yes. It was a Sunday night, we had to get Beer and go max out our Credit Lines on hunting gear as Dove season was under a month away. Patty looked shocked after I made that call on Bluetooth and she, knowing my history as an Outfitter she asked “Well what are you going to call it”? She knows me, it was on. I looked in the back seat at that Gorgeous Dog I didn’t like calling Piper and I said, “Red Dog Outfitters” if the domain name is open. My first purchase was to godaddy for 9.99 to purchase the name, and it was indeed on. Fast-forward almost 8 years and here we are. I no longer drink Beer. I’m a proud Father of 2, C**t and Haley. Red Dog leases and hunts over 45,000 private acres over seven Counties, five game units, all in two States, Kansas and Nebraska. Piper came, left her paw print on many hearts and her memory lives on through her litters and grand litters from Chaos her first born (first pick of the class of 2011). Chaos was taken from me too, just under two months later than Pipe. Emma, Pipers GrandPup, if you will, is beside me and is now “Red Dog”. Someday we’ll breed her if the Good Lord allows it but until then we are moving forward faster and more efficient than ever. We’ve added 25,000 acres of prime Pheasant land and THREE more facilities for our Hunters to sleep in. I can say without a doubt that I’ve had the honor of being part of over 300 Bucks being harvested here at Red Dog. These Trophies have fed families all over North America and Hawaii, is Hawaii part of North America? Hmmm. Well as you can see I don’t take to the stuffy, professional demenor. I take my hunting seriously and my credits amongst the Hunting Media outlets will speak for themselves. That said, we have fun here. This is a hunting company, not a place to take a seat and kill a Buck and go home. This is not a Mill, my success rates are over 75% on kills for my career. Last year my success rate on shots fired/killed was 85%. I have to credit my talented hunters with most of that. If they made bad shots all I’d have would be stories, and hey everyone has those. Now I have a trophy book that weighs more than my Daughter Haley, who is a lug for a two-year-old. C**t, my Son, recently took his first Turkey with me. I’ll have to say it was absolutely one of my proudest moments with him. I’m his biggest Fan aside from his Mom and Sister but the kid really is amazing. C**t will make you laugh, might say something inappropriate here and there and now will share stories from the field as he’s got a few hunts under his little belt. Most of the Deer I’ve Outfitted are posted on here over the last 8 seasons. They’re all time stamped, you can verify who some of the hunters are and even contact them although we all ask that you call me first before you contact a Hunter to make sure they want to take a call. The Future looks bright here. We’ve been blessed to be with some great Companies like Benelli, Allen, Grim Reaper Broadheads, Barronette Blinds, Rivers Edge Treestands, Maven Optics, Kings Camo, Piranha Bowstrings and many more. I’ve been honored to be asked for advice on hunting Trophy Whitetail by Field and Stream for 4 straight seasons and have had multiple Bucks seen all over the World through; Outdoor Life, Universal Hunter Magazine, Bowhunter Magazine, Field and Stream, Outdoor Channel, Sportsmans Channel, Carbon TV, Pursuit Channel, Kings Camo Calendar, Guidefitter Magazine and more. Its been my pleasure to serve close to 200 Deer Hunters, selling close to 400 Deer Hunts and Killing far more than 300 Bucks. I’m also growing and bringing in Partners to help expand. These are not employees, these are partners with skin in the game. Mike Allemang and Gary Shaw both bring a ton to the table and together we fire on all 8 cylinders.
