ITS HERE! We are honored to be collaborating with TransWave Jamaica on our Connek Care Package distribution for 2026 at their next “Open Closet” October 24, 2026 from 1pm to 4pm at Rainbow House! We’ve send two barrels down to Kingston and coming down with even more in luggage.

This donation helped fund our team to develop programs and infrastructure to bring direct aid to trans and q***r Jamaicans impacted by Hurricaine Melissa. We have community events in Kingston that will be announced soon! - Thank you to the whole Connek team and family who made this possible (special s/o to Aldo Araujo 🫂🫂)

Good news! We are proud to be grant recipients of Rainbow Railroad for our 2026 Trans and Q***r Hurricane Melissa Relief Fund! This grant provides zero-barrief relief funds directly to trans and q***r Jamaicans impacted by Hurricane Melissa. - Thank you to the whole Connek team who made this possible (special s/o to Latchmi Devi Gopal ✨ 🍉 🫂🫂) and of course Rainbow Railroad !

Hurricane Melissa hit Jamaica hard, leaving many of our people without homes, income, and safety. For trans and q***r Jamaicans, the impact has been even greater, with many facing additional barriers to accessing emergency support.

Connek JA and our partners are once again organizing this zero-barrier mutual aid fund to provide direct cash support to trans and q***r community members most affected by Hurricane Melissa. Every dollar goes directly to someone in need.

Last year, this community raised and distributed more than $9,000 to over 60 trans and q***r Jamaicans devastated by Hurricane Melissa. A year later, many are still rebuilding.

The headlines moved on. We didn’t. We open to applicants next week so every dollar counts. Link in bio. 🖤💚💛

This Ragga will be a special curation of sisters who have shaped my relationship to nightlife from pre Ragga Nyc to now. Artists who have taught me so much and inspire me to this day. Artists in the scene shaking the table and leading this scene into the future. They continue to fine tune the Ragga Nyc sound from the islands, to dance floors all over this world. Unbound by genre. //

We will be uplifting these 3 organizations doing amazing work for q***r Caribbean folk during the event and a portion of the door will go to them: Trans Solidarity with Cuba (supports resources to the trans community in Cuba), Liga de Salud Trans. (earthquake relief for people in the Pacific region of Colombia) and Colectiva Feminista en Construcción (A political project rooted in the Black and decolonial feminist tradition combating Puerto Rico’s water crisis) //
