We had a great SCUBA charter today with Ocean Gear SCUBA Center and congrats to those who got certified today and I’ll see the rest of you next time, Alessandro, Sebastian, Nathan, Mike & Joseph. ☀️🛥️🤿

We had a great group on board from Ocean Gear SCUBA Center for a 3-tank SCUBA trip over to Catalina, we started at Ship Rock, then went to Bird Rock and finished up at Eagle Reef. It was a little overcast but it was a smooth ride and a great day on the water.

Raja Ampat showed us why it’s called the last paradise! With reefs so full of fish you could hear them when they would move in unison (fish thunder) and hard & soft corals, it’s amazing how healthy the ocean can be when humans haven’t had the chance to mess it up. In the Caribbean it’s hard to find large amounts of healthy coral like Staghorn coral but in Raja Ampat we saw what seemed like football fields of it.

We found Nemo!!!!😁 Nemo is an Ocellaris clownfish, also known as a false clownfish, we also learned a few interesting things about clownfish, like the largest one on the anemone is a female and the rest are male and when the female dies the largest male changes into a female and takes her place. Nature is so crazy!
