The Nawam Perahera (2nd & 3rd Feb) held annually, displays the rich religious and cultural traditions of Sri Lanka.

Hundreds of monks clad in colourful robes, solemnly walking this procession is a unique sight.

Sacred relics housed in a casket are carried by a majestic Elephant on its back.

Dancers display the different forms of Dance prevalent in different parts of the Island. So do the drummers who exhibit their skills on numerous forms of traditional drums.

The 2014 New York Times Travel show did not disappoint... from local events to exotic areas of the world the travel show was a resounding success! Sri Lanka was on the minds of many prospective travelers and our booth was busy with traffic
after reading about Sri Lanka in the Conde Nast Traveler, Lonely Planet and International Travel News.

Tourism to Sri Lanka has been revved up with increased awareness after the cessation of the conflict in 2009. Many new areas are opening up on the East Coast as well as the North of the country which was closed off to tourists for so many years. Unique and beautiful hotels are springing up all around the island as well as the major brand names such as the Taj group, Shangri-la, Hilton, Marriott to name a few.

The award winning CBS show the "Amazing Race" features Sri Lanka in March 2014.
