Travel looks a little different with a baby—and honestly? Indiana Dunes State Park might be one of the easiest, most rewarding places to start.

Think slow mornings, fresh lake air, and a place where there’s zero pressure to rush anything. You’re not packing in 12 activities—you’re letting your baby feel the sand, watching the waves together, and calling it a win if everyone got a decent nap.

Why this spot works so well with a baby:

* Easy access to the beach (minimal hauling gear forever)
* Plenty of space to spread out for feeding, playing, or just sitting
* Simple trails and shaded areas for walks + stroller time
* Bathrooms and facilities nearby (which matters way more now)

Camping with a baby (realistically):
Yes, you can do it—and you don’t have to go full survival mode. The campground here is family-friendly, with options for tents and RVs so you can choose your comfort level. This is one of those places where you can “practice” camping with a baby without being completely off the grid. Night wake-ups happen anywhere—might as well have a lake view.

We’ve been working on something new, and we’re excited to finally share it.

Over time, our love for travel has grown into a deeper interest in hospitality, placemaking, and the kinds of experiences that help people feel connected to a place.

That’s what led us to create Gezellig, a new venture centered around the idea that where guests arrive, belonging begins.

Through Gezellig, we’ll be focusing on hospitality management, tourism development, and thoughtfully designed experiences, including one project were almost done building called Hidden Huntington, a self-guided walking experience that invites people to slow down, look closer, and experience downtown in a new way.

In many ways, it feels like a natural extension of what we’ve already been sharing here, just taking a more intentional shape.
