It’s easy to miss Skipper Canteen when you’re in Adventureland in hot pursuit of your next Lightning Lane return time. It’s tucked away, fits the surrounding scenery perfectly and is 100% Jungle Cruise skipper approved. Also easy to miss if you don’t know is Skipper’s “secret menu.” Some of the traditional menu offerings may seem a little off the beaten path for some guests, but the secret menu is the star of the restaurant.

The Pao de Quiejo is a Brazilian cheese bread that comes with a delicious side of poblano cream and chimichurri sauce. Also can be found (most of the time) on the not secret any more menu is their Tropical Serenade Sangria and shrimp in a cup. Are you brave enough to ask for a secret menu when visiting Skipper Canteen or will you stick to the menu that was handed to you?

If you are my client you know that Skipper Canteen is my favorite restaurant in the Magic Kingdom. The food is good, the drinks are amazing, and it doesn't only serve chicken tenders and mac and cheese (but it has those options for your kids). If you want recommendations for the best restaurant options across the Walt Disney World Resort reach out. I will share all my recommendations.

We’re only 9 months away from the inaugural sailing of the newest ship in Disney’s fleet, the Disney Treasure. Of course, we have no pictures as it’s not complete yet, but let’s talk about some things we do know:

- For all of 2025 (at least) it will be a 7 night sailing departing from Port Canaveral with a choice of Eastern or Western Caribbean itineraries.

- It will NOT stop at the newest Disney private island, Lighthouse Point, but will stop at Castaway Cay on both itineraries

- It will feature so many details, elements and themes from the parks and films

- Worlds of Marvel and 1923 will join the new Plaza de Coco as the three rotational dining restaurants

Although this ship won’t take voyage until December, we can certainly get your cruise on the books! Want to dive into the adventure of a lifetime and make memories to “treasure” forever? Let’s talk about all that’s included and see if this just might be your next vacation destination!

We are all kids again when we cross under the “Storybook Circus” banner in Fantasyland. (Look down, see the peanut “shells” in the cement?) With timeless attractions, great character interactions and the Big Top Souvenirs (the best place to wait out a pop up shower) this nook of the park gives all the sweet nostalgia feels. Even if you don’t have littles in tow, do you still make a point to visit this area of the park? (And ride Dumbo for old times sake?)

Naturally, Magic Kingdom is the quintessential park for small children with areas like Storybook Circus, but all four parks have wonderful family friendly experiences too that you won’t want to miss! If you’re a seasoned traveler with little ones, share your favorite spots! If not, that's why you need me to help with the Disney planning!

🎪🍔🍖Stay immersed in the world of Dr. Seuss at mealtime when you dine at The Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous! This Islands of Adventure eatery inside Seuss Landing is themed from (big) top to bottom. Serving elevated kid-friendly fare, this quick service restaurant offers plenty of seating and a lot to look at while your order is prepared. Whether you’re utilizing the fun photo spots, watching the circus performers or waving to other guests riding the High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride that passes overhead, this is a dining experience your family will remember!

This is just one example of how Universal Orlando Resort takes their quick service restaurant themes seriously, offering their guests a memorable experience without having to break the budget. Send me a message if you are interested in taking a closer look at Universal!
