Look up, Huron!

KELOLAND, what a fun surprise to see our flight show up on this morning’s news! It was a pretty sweet view from above the South Dakota State Football game.

Let us know when we can take those anchors up for a similar stadium view - no parachute needed. 😉

Proud to represent South Dakota at the opening night of the National Balloon Classic and its special America 250 celebration. 🇺🇸🎈

With 115 balloon pilots and nearly every state represented, it was an incredible gathering of the ballooning community from across the country.

July, you were a good one. 🎈

Plenty of flying, some great passengers, two very special proposals from the basket, and the first-ever Balloons Over Brookings. It’s hard to ask for much more from one month.

And we’re not finished yet. Today we’re headed to Indianola, Iowa, for the National Balloon Classic—a nine-day event featuring more than 100 balloons and skilled pilots from across the country and beyond. This time, it won’t just be about scenic flying; we’ll be putting our skills to the test in competition.

Grateful for a full July and excited to see what August brings. We’ll share some of the adventure along the way!

Such a great time being part of this event! Eastern SD, you showed up in a massive way. Looking forward to flying Balloons Over Brookings 2027.

🎈Thank you, Brookings!

We honestly didn't know what to expect for our first Balloons Over Brookings, and the support you showed this weekend meant more than we can say. Whether you joined us for one session or spent the whole weekend at the balloon field, thank you for being part of something special.

This weekend was just the beginning, and we're already excited about what's ahead.

If you attended, we'd really appreciate you taking a couple of minutes to complete the attendee survey using the QR code in your event program. Your feedback will help us make next year's event even better, and you'll be entered for a chance to win a hot air balloon ride during the 2027 event!

📸 We'd love to see your favorite photos from the weekend—share them in the comments below!

Thank you again for an unforgettable weekend. We'll see you at the balloon field next year. 🎈

What a great first night at Balloons Over Brookings! 🎈

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to the balloon field, visited with our pilots and crews, and helped make the opening night such a fun evening. We loved seeing so many smiling faces!

We’re excited to do it all again tonight and are hoping for cooperative weather. We’d love to see even more of you at Fishback Soccer Park for another great evening of balloons and community.

We’ll see you at the balloon field!
