✨ Sipsters…Let’s Spill Some Tea ✨

Our TO-GO KITS are already a STEAL. Like, significantly cheaper than having one of our amazing Sip Makers make your drink for you. AND they’re BUY 4, GET 1 FREE. 🙌🏼

We even throw in a FREE cup and lid with that deal when asked because we love y’all.

But apparently, somewhere along the way, “buy 4, get 1 free” got confused with “buy 4, get 1 free, and help yourself to our entire cup inventory.” 😂

Besties. Our 42oz and 52oz Karat cups and lids are not free. They’re actually pretty dang expensive. We don’t have a magical cup tree growing in the back or a large corporation supplying us at any given moment…it’s me girl. Spending $3-$4K a month on cups/lids/straws/to go bags/stickers. Maybe more. 🥴

We’ve gotten some ‘tude over handing out free extra cups from a sipster a few times—one situation I clearly explained myself to her what the policy is, so this evening she unfortunately chose to have some choice words with Alexis over an additional free cup/lid and baby Alexis ain’t the one. She stood on policy 10 toes down and offered the additional cup/lid if the customer wanted to pay for it.
She was again met with tone, ‘tude, and words that would’ve gotten my lips stuck in my braces back in the day. Mind you over $1. Also note that our cups are very sturdy and I personally have dishwashed them and they lived to see another day…multiple “another days” 😵‍💫🤭. So the option is always there wash your plethora of cups we know you already have…use a tumbler (we also sell those!), use your one free cup, pay $1 for an additional set, or go somewhere that will allow you to disrespect college kids paying their way thru school AND THAT AIN’T IN ANY OF MY SHOPS MOMMA.

If you want to apologize…or even just quietly respect the policy that’s been explained several times without backlash, we welcome you back in and would love to continue serving you. We can put CupGate behind us and move forward with a clean cup—-slate, I mean slate.

And while we’re clearing things up…

Cussing at my employees or telling young women INAPPROPRIATE “Jokes” & comments is WILD behavior and will not be tolerated moving forward. I’ve been told some older gentleman have came in talking some crazy stuff a few times, so if your icky grandad is on the loose on the West Side please come get him. Next time you’ll be kindly asked to leave followed by a little pepper spray if you don’t head on out. 😘
That kind of talk is from the Epstein files, not at The Sip and NOT TO MY GIRLS. 🥊

My Sip Makers are there to make drinks, make your day brighter even—not negotiate with grown adults over plastic cups like they’re holding the last Stanley at Target and certainly not to be made uncomfortable by your inability to act right.

We LOVE spoiling our customers. We LOVE being friendly & chatting it up…We LOVE giving y’all a deal.

But I will choose my employees over someone’s entitlement & inappropriateness EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. 💅🏼

The drinks are sweet. The deals are good. The disrespect? Not on the menu. 😘

I try to limit my inbox complaints to the best of my ability and that is why I say “no” to non iced teas.
